Luxemburg Café — Restaurant in Ixelles - Elsene

Being from Brussels I usually come to this bar to have a nice drink and never had problems. This time I decided to take my 2 friends who came to visit me, usually they bring you the drinks and ask you if you want to pay now or later. I always say that i will pay at the cashier at the end. That day the place was quite empty (5 tables) and we were sitting next to the bar, the girl who served us asked us if we wanted to pay now or later and I ask for later. She then ask my ID as a guaranty for the payment. I have never been asked in my entire life in Brussels for an ID to guarantee the payment. I then understood that we were the only one she asked for our ID and then understood that we were the only non white people there and you could tell that being with 2 black girls didn't look too good. When paying she couldn't give me any explication about the ID as other customers could just pay at the cashier. Racist waitress and bartender that's all I have to say. WHITE PEOPLE...

Difficult to be very objective with a place which is considered by my friends as my second home... amazing healthy food and juices (also very nice cakes for those who like sweets). I personaly always order the bowl of the week and the juice of the day. Probably the place where you will find the best music among all the places at place luxembourg. Very cool place, especially when it is sunny outside, and I like so much the atmosphere of the secret room on the first floor when you get to go there. And of course,...

On the terace outside, the waiter needed 10 mins to actually signal us that he will be with us soon.then 5 mins later came to us asking if we want the menu (really? Couldn't you just bring it??) We said yes, 5 mins later we brought the menu ourselves, and ordered.the beer was a draft and probably from the bottom of the keg, since it had no gas.it...
