Le restaurant est sympa avec ses fauteuils suspendus mais c'est tout ce qu'on a trouvé de cool à notre passage. On avait pas réservé donc on a été mis au fond du restaurant, c'était sombre et pas très chaleureux. Le sandwich au poulet que nous avons commandé était presque froid. Sandwich qui était pas ouf d'ailleurs et le naan était petit et maigre malgré qu'il était au fromage, pour 4€ j'ai déjà trouvé beaucoup mieux ailleurs. On a aussi pris un mojito fraise qui avait plus le goût d'un diabolo grenadine, bref c'était décevant. Pour finir le service était catastrophique, la serveuse nous a oubliés, on a dû appeler un autre serveur après plusieurs minutes sauf qu'il était timide ou je sais pas mais on comprenait a peine ce qu'il nous disait.. Ah et accessoirement il semble y avoir pas mal de surgelé donc pour le prix c'est vraiment bof __________ Edit après la réponse du propriétaire : Pour la place c'est pas grave, c'est notre faute. N'empêche que le fond du resto est sombre dans tout les cas. Ensuite c'est bien gentil de proposer de corriger le tir mais bon après avoir attendu longtemps et être servis froid on en avait marre et avait juste envie de partir. Pour le surgelé j'ai clairement vu un petit sachet de pomme de terre prédécoupé du supermarché derrière le comptoir donc c'est pas totalement une erreur si je peux me permettre. Et finalement pour le service je suis d'accord, ça arrive surtout quand ce ne sont pas des serveurs de métier mais le restaurant n'est vraiment pas grand, on parle pas de 60 tables non plus.

Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir manger au Jalebi cette semaine. Et nous avons adoré ça 😊 Nous avons été très bien accueilli. L'ambiance était très agréable, lumières pas trop élevées et musiques typiques ont rythmées notre soirée. Malgré la difficulté à nous faire comprendre au serveur (nous ne parlons pas anglais), le service s'est bien passé. En entrée nous avons mangé des pakoras d'aubergines et des pakoras de scampis (+des pakoras de poulet, car petite erreur lors du service, très très vite réglée), cela nous a bien goûté, c'est la première fois que nous goûtions des beignets indiens et nous les avons trouvés très bons. En plat nous avons mangé un poulet tikka et un agneau madras avec des pains naan. C'était vraiment vraiment délicieux, bien assaisonné et très tendre. Nous avons eu un petit goût de trop peu. Je pense que le plat, présenté dans une assiette avec du riz + des pains naan ça aurait été top. Car en accompagnement il faut choisir entre les pains naan ou le riz et c'est dommage pour les bons mangeurs 😉 Pour boire, j'ai pris 2 mocktails mojito qui étaient très bons également. Malheureusement il n'y avait plus de desserts disponibles, on aurait bien aimé les goûter également. Nous remercions toute la team Jalebi pour ce beau moment que nous avons passé au restaurant. Nous reviendrons certainement y manger et nous recommanderons le restaurant à nos amis et à notre famille.

We began our meal with vegetarian pakoras, which were incredibly flavorful and perfectly crispy. The main dishes were rich in spices, while the freshly baked naan was soft and aromatic. To finish, the dessert and tea provided a delightful ending to a wonderful dining experience. Overall, the food and service were outstanding—this has definitely become our new favorite Indian restaurant!

Good food, decent ambiance—but shocking customer service!

When settling the bill, the waiter insisted on cash payment. I always use card in such places and simply asked if there was a discount for cash (as some restaurants offer). Instead of a straightforward answer, I was met with an unnecessary and condescending remark: ‘This is not your India. This is Belgium, and everything works by a system.’

Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. A restaurant is not just about food but also how it treats its customers. If management values its reputation, they should train staff on basic courtesy. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who expects...
