Ah Quy — Restaurant in Leuven

Not a bad option if you're hungry, I do have some notes though. Service: Pretty straightforward, no-frills but overall professional. Food: I got the beef pho, it wasn't hot (in fact it was barely warm). It almost seemed like they microwaved it. The flavor of the broth is pretty good though, I was pleased with the rich flavor. Plenty of beef in the soup, although it tastes a bit different than the beef I'm used to. It would've been nice to have some condiments (Sriracha or hoisin wasn't readily available). Overall a decent value for what I paid 13€. Atmosphere: Basic, kind of stark and the inside is small. The outside is pleasant to dine at and the view is enjoyable too (not too much traffic). Ordered red Thai curry with tofu and jasmine rice. This curry is red but not Thai. No Thai flavours whatsoever no ginger, lemongrass you get the point. They use same fried tofu for all tofu dishes. No variation in flavour if you are ordering two tofu based dishes. Not a good place if you are vegetarian and looking for vegetarian flavours.

Sorry for mixing up. Thai vs Vietnamese. My bad! But the underlying argument remains standing. The food had no flavour and fried tofu didn’t taste fresh. Infact I had stomach burn after the meal. Not sure if that’s how veg Vietnamese food is...

Just ate here and must say i saw the prices and i thought " probably is going to be a small plate" but i have to say no not at all. You can get some dishes here below the price of 10€, which is a very good deal and it is very tasty. Took a bit of waiting before ordering but once order we just sat down and food was ready just like that. It was ridiculously fast. i would definitely recommended and might check out some of their other dishes...
