DONKI — Restaurant in Leuven

A month later, still unable to order online ... Dmn I really really felt like a burrito tonight. I'll have to order Thai again ... ☹️

It's with great regret I have to leave a negative review here. I have been a long time customer and even though the burrito's are sometimes a bit messy and some ordered options don't seem to make it in, I'm just happy to have a Mexican option near me. As I live in the country side I order online and pick up. Worked fine but today I can't order, not on mobile nor on the web. They ask my address to tell me they don't deliver here, I know this already so why? And when I choose pick up or continue, nothing happens. I even tried a different browser, same thing. So I try to tell them there is a problem, guess what the online form doesn't work either and even the mail us link doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure who build and designed your site, but fire them! Guess I 'll have to go else...

So we had a burrito bowl with carnitas and hot salsa and a burrito with barbacoa and Pico de gallo. Food was average at best in terms of flavour. Hot salsa wasn't really hot. Both carnitas and barbacoa also lacked any flavour, tasted more like just boiled meat. In fact only overwhelming taste both of the burritos had was the taste of sour cream which it was very generously doused in. Also the drinks (lemonades) were served in their plastic bottles. It's not a cafeteria, it's a restaurant! I wouldn't recommend it as a mexican restaurant. However it's not a bad choice if you are looking for a...

Their food is good, but for me they seem caught between wanting to be a restaurant and a place to grab a quick bite. Good location and their small but good menu choices (quick bite) contrast their prices, you can easily pay 15-20 euros for a quick burrito and a soda. Their whole ethical, organic and fresh thingy is great and all but should not make a quick stop here 3 times as expensive as some other burrito places I know...
