De Appel — Restaurant in Leuven

We had a booking for 15 people one month in advance. We chose the place as they say they accommodate large groups. We arrive and we see that we have 2 separate tables of seven and eight. We ask why is that and we had booked a month in advance to make sure that we are together. The answer is we can't make it happen. And when we inquired why didn't they say that when we booked or have the courtesy to call and tell us this will be the arrangement when they had a month. They said "deal with it". When it comes to food, since we are a large group we had to place our order a couple of weeks in advance, which we did. 7 steaks and other stuff. We asked for medium rare steaks. 6 out of the 7 were not well done but overcooked. Some joked that they were chewing on a shoe. Long story short, the arrangement will not be respeced, you will not get the food you asked for and you have to deal...

The waiters friendly, but my salad had these huge slices of melon wich I had to cut myself with a knife that wasn't cutting good, and I got very very little sauce next in a super small bowl. And there was more green salad hiding under the melon then anything else. So it was a bit dry for me and lack of taste. I would expect to be everything nice evenly cut in small pieces and also enough sauce...

Over priced.....i orderd a 3 scoop ice cream and it cost 6.60.......they don't let u pay individually, or buy drinks at the actual bar......they had a machine full of more affordable Ben and Jerry's, and then said I couldn't hav it coz it was for uber eats, the fridge was off in 30'c + weather so I'm sure it was sludge....ice cream was very nice though, far...
