Tsuru Sushi — Restaurant in Leuven

Was craving sushi and found this place next to the station and so glad I went here. When I walked in the employee was so kind to me and even gave me a free dumpling. I ordered the wakame, mixed sashimi, and tsuru special roll - all so tasty, pretty presentation, and came out quick.

When I paid, they forgot to charge me for the wakame but said it was fine even though I offered to pay. Super kind people here. I also got extra soy sauce and ginger when taking my leftovers to-go.

I love this place and if I was staying in Leuven longer it would be my go-to...

Simply put - the best sushi I have ever tried. And sushi is my favorite food, I have eaten in over 40 different sushi restaurants across Belgium alone. Nothing beats this. The fish is fresh and tasty, the rice is perfectly boiled. The place is also very cozy and staff is super polite and friendly. The only nitpick is that the smell in the place a bit stiff (probably strong cleaning products), but in no way did that impact me to enjoy it. Incredible experience, friendly and very attentive personal stuff which makes you feel welcome. Fresh seafood, with good amount of ingredients inside and not full of rice which is really important in terms of quality. Tempura’s really good cooked and nice presentation.
