Café Sport — Restaurant in Leuven

Really bad experience. We were 20 people and 4 of us left before. We asked to split the bill and the waiter replied “I will not stay there to go one by one”. The bill was not split, we paid more than 300 euros and ended up being physically harassed by the owner. Watch out from these irascible and stubborn people !

Update to the answer of this review: That is not actually what happened. First of all, the restaurant was not full. Secondly, we were in 4 people and asked to split the bill only for us. Third, I never mentioned you have to do it like that, rather I asked to split because I cannot pay for 20 people. Thirdly, I said that I'm your customer, do you treat customers like that? Finally, I paid the whole amount and I said I'm superior to all the discussion, I was not listening at the various excuses that you were providing. You interpreted this as a form of racism, mentioning that I'm racist and asking me my nationality and you started to put hands on me. You pushed me out from the restaurant using force. This is physical harassment. All people that were with me...

De Sport is nu al enkele jaren mijn place to go in Leuven. Een top café, sinds de overname, waar de bezoekers van alle slag en alle leeftijden zijn. De perfecte plaats om toffe biertjes te ontdekken en babbels te slaan met vrienden, familie en ook het personeel waarvoor de klant (en zeker een vaste als ik) altijd centraal staat. En niet alleen om bovenstaande redenen, maar een absolute troef aan de Sport is de menukaart. In de Sport kan je voor super schappelijke prijzen heel lekker eten. Klassiekers als croques, pasta's, wraps, de huisgemaakte burgers en kaaskroketten, taquito's en quesedilla's enz... De porties zijn behoorlijk groot en Chelle en zijn team slagen er keer op keer ook in om verfrissende, originele suggesties op de kaart te zetten. Van streetfood tot (Vlaamse) klassiekers met een eigen twist of zelfs vaak gerechten die je in de klassiekere restaurants of tavernes gewoon nergens vindt. Ik probeer deze dan ook zo vaak mogelijk te testen, zoals gisteren de fantastische nieuwe mediterraanse Jack Patat met oa bulgur, mozzarella, coleslaw en Turkse worst. Een ongelofelijke smaakbom. En last but not least, de ribs (ooit als suggestie, nu al lang vast op de kaart) zijn de beste die ik ooit gegeten heb. Best ribs in town?...

Service was slow but friendly. The place looks somewhat 'sterile' from the outside, but has a surprisingly cosy atmosphere once you are inside. This place serves all kinds of demographics and ages and has a non-surprising but extensive enough card.
