Namaste India — Restaurant in Liège

Must read: If you are hungry don't even think about going to this restaurant.

Coming to my review, I'm writing this review right after I had my food here. I never wrote witty reviews, but this restaurant gave me all the reasons to write one.

If you've decided to go to this restaurant, make sure you already had a good meal before going there, because you'll be hungry again by the time food arrives.

If you are a traveller visiting Liege, place your order and tour the city, I'm sure you can tour the whole city by the time they bring the food.

If they happen to ask you where you're from, you don't even have to say anything. I ordered a biryani, they asked me where I'm from, I said from Hyderabad, India, and what I got is not even biryani, it's something with a few vegetables and sliced almonds on top. Why do they even ask where I'm from? And you don't put zucchini in Biryani.

Also I think these people are very much inspired by Apple. Because you have to buy everything separately with biryani like even Raita and Water.

Coming to the taste of whatever they gave me in the name of biryani, it tasted fine, with an exception that it didn't taste like anything close to biryani.

And by any chance if this is how the things work in Wallonia or Belgium, please...

The (vegetarian) food was very good but I wouldn't say delicous though. I know other Indian restaurants that taste better. The staff was very pleasant on the other hand but after I finished the meal and asked for another small beer I was somehow forgotten. I went to the desk to pay without tempting to re-order the beverage as it took 15-20 minutes before I got attention. But in general, it's a good, nice and not over-expensive restaurant! I don't want to give false impressions to...

Je ne recommande pas cette adresse pour ces différentes raisons : -Mauvaise information lors de la réservation. En regardant les menus et les prix, nous comptions prendre un simple menu pour découvrir cette culture pour un budget de 25 € par personne. Le restaurant ne nous indique aucune spécificité lors de la réservation et on se retrouve en salle avec un menu imposé pour 45€ par personne soit presque 2 fois plus que notre budget initial. On s’est dit allais, marquons le coup. une fois installé dans la salle arrière chauffée grace à un champignon à gaz. La chaleur nous donnait l’impression d’être dans un sauna. D’autant plus que ce n’est pas facile de réguler la température, les gens plus loin du champignon avaient froid (logique). Nous avons donc choisi ce que proposait le menu imposé. Après 30 minutes d’attente (jusque la ca va) nous avons reçu un petit apéro). Puis, nous avons reçus les entrées qui n’étaient pas celles que nous avions commandé. Mais on s’est dit pas grave. De nouveau 30 minutes plus tard, la deuxième entrée arrive (un peu long quand meme). J’aurais aimé vous parler du plat mais nous avons décidé de partir après 3h d’attente sans en voir la couleur. Lors de notre départ, nous espérions au moins un dédommagement ou un geste commerçant, mais non. Bref, nous qui voulions découvrir la culture indienne finissions au Burger King.
