Al-Andalous — Restaurant in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean - Sint-Jans-Molenbeek

Disappointed by how our last order was handled. Ordered 2 vegetarian couscous but only 1 arrived – no big deal, mistakes happen and we’re only human! Called the restaurant to check whether they forgot to pack it or perhaps the driver forgot to give us a separate bag, but was met with an extremely hostile employee who immediately hung up on us after stating they fulfilled the order.

My (Moroccan) partner and I usually order from here at least twice a month – tasty and generous portions at a great price, always sure to arrive steaming hot!

We’re now bummed to have lost our go-to couscous fix, but after reading the reviews highlighting the questionable hygiene, maybe it was for the best…

TLDR: The food is great, but should you run into any issues with your order, don’t bother trying to contact the restaurant unless you enjoy being...

Wir sind als Touristen auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden, da in den meisten anderen ausschließlich Männer waren.

Optisch ist es zwar nicht ansprechend und nicht gemütlich, dafür geschmacklich top.

Zum Frühstück gab es 2 Eier klassisch marokkanisch mit Käse und Oliven. Dazu ein Msemen mit Nutella (gibt auch mit Honig und Käse), ein marokkanischer Churro (gibt auch den spanischen Churro) und zwei Säften. Einmal einen frisch vor unseren Augen gepressten O-Saft und einen gemixten mit Ananas. Zusätzlich haben wir noch ein Briwout mit Hackfleisch und Paprika Füllung bestellt und einen klassischen Minztee Nana.

Das Essen hat absolut excellent geschmeckt, wobei ich den Briwouat gerne ohne Paprika gehabt hätte. Die Säfte und der Tee Weltklasse.

Das alles für 18,80€.

Abends sind wir nochmal hin und haben Tajine Kefta mit Ei und den gleichen Säften wie bereits morgens bestellt.

Die Tajine hat etwas länger gebraucht, dafür wurde sie frisch in der Tajine gekocht. Ausreichend Brot wurde mitgegeben. Bezahlt haben wir hierfür 18€.

Alles wird in diesem Restaurant selbst gebacken / gekocht. Die Küche ist offen, man kann dabei zusehen.

Direkt in der Mitte Molenbeeks gelegen, neben anderen marokkanischen Restaurants.

My first time trying Moroccan food and it turned out so well. We just randomly try out this restaurant because I saw a lot of local people eating there. The food was 9/10 and it self service. I would recommend to people who like spices. The donut bread I don’t know what it called but you should definitely try 100/10.
