Nice and quiet restaurant in the center of Mons with good service.

At first I was hesitant to go in, but then I was glad that I decided to have dinner here. This is an authentic restaurant in a very old building. The wooden floors and staircases only contribute for the great atmosphere inside. There are 6 beers on tap and plenty of bottled ones. The food was excellent, or at least the one I ordered. Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Grand Platz. Absolut zu empfehlen. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und sehr nett. Sprach ein wenig Englisch und war sehr hilfsbereit. Hätte gerne öfters nach Getränken fragen können.-)

Wir hatten 3x Burger. 2x mit Ziegenkäse, 1x normaler. Die Pommes haben wir als extra Portion in einer riesen Schüssel bekommen. Tolle Pommes. Preis Leistung mit ca. 16.00 unschlagbar. Am Ende 61.00 für 3 Personen mit Getränke bezahlt. Wir waren absolut satt und es hat gut geschmeckt.

Der Burger Buns war in die Richtung Sauerteig. Mega lecker.

Der Burger riesig. Der Beilagen Salat war auch gut Wir würden das Padi als well down empfehlen. Medium ist noch leicht rötlich. Das Padi war mit Schinken und Zwiebeln perfekt abgerundet. Der Ziegenkäse auch in ausreichender Portion.

Das Lokal wirkt im Eingang nicht wirklich wie ein Restaurant, eher wie ein Imbiss. Der Seiteneingang ist leider verschlossen. So wirkt es wie schmaler Durchgang an der Theke entlang auf eine Scheibe / Wand zu. Der Gastraum wirkt dadurch verschlossen. Etwas zu viel von allem. Man sollte sich davon nicht täuschen lassen. Ich würde das als Gastronom ändern. Offener und leerer. Seiteneingang öffnen. Im hinteren Bereich der Gastraum war sehr sehenswert. Eine alte Holztreppe mit schönen Wand Balken macht ihn sehenswert. Tolles Gebäude. Uns hat etwas Hintergrund Musik gefehlt.

Asked for a well cooked burger... BUT... It wasn't..... They took it away......They brought back the same burger with the bite out and slammed it down infront of me!!!! .. Soggy bun.. onion rings were dissolved... God knows what he did to it!!!! Meanwhile I visited the toilets.. which were disgusting... The door to the gents was open . And wouldn't shut/fit back into the door frame! ... We walked out without paying..... Good luck if you dare to try this...
