From the moment I walked in at Tarbot royal the elegant ambiance set the perfect tone for an exceptional evening.

The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. Our server guided us through the menu, highlighting fresh catches of the day, and their passion for the food was evident.

I started with the grilled octopus, which was perfectly tender and complemented by a citrus vinaigrette. For the main course, I chose the bouillabaisse, bursting with rich flavors and an array of seafood cooked to perfection. Each bite was a delightful experience.

The wine selection was extensive, and our server's recommendation paired beautifully with our meal. To top it all off, the dessert—an indulgent tiramisu—was the perfect ending to a memorable meal.

A very pleasant experience on our first evening in Belgium, We stumbled upon this restaurant late in the evening when our choices seemed to be limited. The waiters who looked after us were, friendly, funny, and informative, effortlessly without being intrusive.

We chose the vegetable pasta for our main dish, which was delicious, really good food, the vegetables, perfectly cooked in a light and flavoursome sauce.

We also had a bottle of rose wine to accompany the meal, the waiter told us it was a good choice and he was right, a week later we are still talking about it as being one if those flavour experiences that won't be forgotten. Different and delightful.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a good meal. With wine, starters and a main course we were also pleased with the price.

We would have returned if we had stayed in Ostende...

We came for a late lunch with three people so it was almost empty inside the dining area. Food was excellent especially the beef cut and pasta with salmon. Service was extremely friendly and attentive going the extra mile to help us. The only major downside was the extremely long wait for the food. Could be really due to the odd time we arrived. I would come again but at the usual dinner time with a reservation.
