I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Mekan and I must say, it has the best pizza in town! From the moment we walked in, my children and I were thoroughly impressed. This hidden gem is fairly new and definitely deserves to be tried by everyone in the area.
The first thing that caught our attention was the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place. The two guys behind this establishment went out of their way to greet us with genuine smiles and make us feel right at home. Their friendliness and enthusiasm added an extra touch to our dining experience.
Now let's talk about the star of the show - the pizza. Oh my goodness, it was absolutely fantastic! We tried a variety of flavors and each one surpassed our expectations. The crust was perfect - crispy on the outside, yet soft and fluffy on the inside. The toppings were incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. We could tell that the ingredients used were of top-notch quality.
The menu at El Mekan offers a good selection of pizzas, catering to various preferences. From classic margherita to more adventurous options, there is something for everyone. They also have a few vegetarian choices, which is always appreciated.
In addition we tried their garlic breads and they were heavenly. Warm, golden-brown and oozing with garlic and butter, they were the perfect accompaniment to our pizza feast.
Overall, our experience at El Mekan was absolutely delightful. The delicious and fresh food, combined with the warm hospitality made it a memorable dining experience. If you're in town and looking for a place to satisfy your pizza cravings, don't miss out on this hidden gem. You won't be disappointed!

Read moreBoth pizzas on the suggestions list: mortadella with pistachios and melanzana were excellent, very fresh ingredients and perfect combinations of flavors. The service is friendly: they didn’t have a coat hanger in the restaurant, so they offered to hang my long coat in the stuff room so it wouldn’t get wrinkled. You can see your pizza being made in front of you, many people know the chef personally and chat with him, all this to nice chill music. The vibe was very relaxed, casual and pleasant. Just a tiny detail, the home made tiramisu wasn’t my favorite, as the cream had a heavier texture (likely missing eggs), and the amaretto/coffee taste wasn’t present in the layers. Overall an ok dessert but not on the same top notch as the pizza. I would gladly return but take a...
Read moreI have been in the restaurant industry for about 8 years. I’ve owned restaurants in both Brazil and Turkey, and I’ve traveled to many places around the world. Honestly, this restaurant impressed me. The place we originally wanted to go had closed early, and we were quite hungry. By chance, we found this restaurant, and for me, it felt like a meaningful reward at the end of a tiring day. It was the best pizza experience I’ve ever had. If you’re in Brussels and craving pizza, this place is definitely the best...
