L’Alchimiste. — Restaurant in Saint-Gilles - Sint-Gillis

I was for days now excited to have a vegan place in the neighborhood. It all changed after ordering their tofu scramble plate. The tempeh was good, but the scramble itself was totally tasteless, to the point that I could not even eat it. I don't think that is due to any super high standards, I have eaten in other vegan places as well, and it has never been bad!

The waitress was polite but not asking a customer "is there something wrong?" if you see that they asked for scramble and they give it back almost untouched, is a bit of a problem in my opinion and doesn't make anyone to want to go back.

Paying 10.5E for 2 small pieces of bread, tempeh, and 4 pieces of microwaved tomato...

We ordered: 2 matcha latte (lets say 8 euros), 1 juice (lets say 5 euros), 1 milkshake (let's say 7 euros) 1 burger (it was written 14 euros), 1 croissant (lets say 3 euros), and the sandwich (14 euros). We paid 51 euros in total. Since you remember me and my friends please go ahead and check your bill. Expensive brunch: 25e for one tiny pancake w 1 cercle of banana, a tiny toast with a bit of nice pea hoummos topped w a piece of baked squash so small it's laughable it was even spelled out on the menu as "roasted vegetables" (in plural!), a tiny juice (though good) a coffee and a rather sandy cookie.
