Recently, I decided to be good and dispose of my empty bottles in a communal glass bin, instead of leaving them next to the closest normal trash bin, as is common use in my neighborhood. However, when I got to the glass bin I found that it had been removed, without signs of a replacement. In search of another glass bin, I walked further towards the place de Saint-Josse, with my heavy bags. There was no glass bin but there was a Domino’s pizzeria. A Domino’s delivery guy was outside loading a couple of pizza boxes into the delivery box of his e-bike. I asked him if he knew of another glass bin. ‘for glass?’ he asked. Yes. He thought for an instant - ‘I know of one. I’m going in that direction. Just follow me, I’ll go slowly.’ I thanked him, so nice, and he said ‘one second, I’ll be right back’. He went inside Domino’s. As I waited on the busy junction, I had time to look around at the pedestrians and the cars. There were a few pretty girls in summer clothes, on their way home from work. A blue 1990 Honda CRX drove past, hadn’t seen one of those in a while! I put the heavy bags down. After a while, the pizza guy came out again and put some more pizzas in his box, only to realize there was still something missing. Turning around, he said ‘one sec, I gotta’ – ‘wait’ I said, ‘you can just tell me where it is’, as I picked my bags up: ‘is it up this road?’ - ‘Kind of’, he said, ‘but not really. It’s hard to explain, easier to just show you. It’s not far, I’ll be right back!’ As he went back in I put my bags down again. I looked at my watch - I was probably going to be late for something. An old lady walked by with a plastic bag of empty bottles and put it down next to a normal trash bin a few meters from where I was standing. I saw that there were more bags with empty bottles there, but I was now determined to find a glass bin. Also I didn’t want to disappoint the friendly delivery guy. After another couple of minutes the pizza guy came out again and put the order’s last pizza in the box and closed it. It seemed we were finally ready to go. ‘Follow me’ he said as he rode off up rue Scailquin. I followed him but pizza guy was going quite fast. I started to lose him so sped up my pace. Caught up with him at a red light he was waiting for. I was already on the other side of the road, waiting for him, somewhat strained. During this time a Turkish wedding procession of (rented?) honking Mercedes S-classes passed. When his light turned green, pizza guy signaled to follow him as he tore past. Again I couldn’t keep up with him and pretty soon he was out of sight. I was further and further from my house without having seen any glass bins. Only a small park with a free dog. The bags got heavier. I decided to give up my resolve and turned back to the alternative glass deposit by the trash bin in front of Domino’s. As I almost reached the place Saint-Josse, behind me a bell rang. It was pizza boy, panting, somewhat annoyed: ‘this way!’ For some reason he had come all the way back to help this lost fool. Dutiful I followed him back up the rue de Scailquin, my arms barely holding the bags. Pizza boy is fast. I’m practically sprinting now. I can’t let him down again. We go up and right and through the park with the free dog, right up to the small ring. Pizza guy stops, points across the busy periphery to a glass bin on the other side ‘over there, you see?’ - ‘I can see it’ – ‘can you see it?’ – ‘yes’. Pizza guy rides off slightly annoyed: ‘you’re welcome’. There’s no way of crossing these busy 4 lanes this point which is exactly in between two pedestrian crossings, both equally far. I left my bags were I stood and begun my journey back. In the distance I caught a glimpse of pizza man turning the corner, the wind...
Read moreApparently the owner thinks i have the time to create fake accounts to write bad reviews, I do not. Think you have enough of them already and this is fairly hypocritical considering most of the positive reviews are from blank fake accounts and clearly made by him or his employees to try and compensate for all the bad ones. FYI I've taken all of this to their superiors and will be getting a refund.
Would give zero stars if I could. Second update. After going to the store in person the owner first said I can't have a refund unless i delete my Google review! Then refused a refund entirely and says i need to deal with head office who i already contacted and they said i have to get a refund directly from the store. Despite i was polite the manager was quite aggressive and rude saying I had to come back the same day for a refund which was actually impossible as it was late night, I had been hung up on twice and the restaurant was then closed. They also told me the staff member i originally dealt with was fired and told me to leave! Absolutely ridiculous. Appalling customer service and treatment of a paying customer. Will never order from Dominos again and will be reporting all of this to their head office. Many negative reviews speak the truth and "coincidentally" every time they receive a negative review they create a positive review with a blank fake account to counter it.
UPDATE! And the owner only ever responds with sarcastic or condescending rude replies. Extremely unprofessional. How does he even have this position?! I will be getting a refund even if I have to go up to head office and report this behaviour.
I just ordered a vegan pizza. When it arrived it had the wrong toppings, wrong sauce and clearly regular cheese not vegan. I called the store and asked the man if he spoke English, he said yes. But when I explained my problem he then decided that he doesn't speak English and hung up on me!!! I then called the guy who delivered who spoke English when he came to my door then on the phone also decided that now he also doesn't speak English and hung up on me!!! Absolutely disgusting service!!! How difficult is it to prepare what is written on the order?! I...
Read moreOk, it's just a cheap Pizza place. Medium to low quality as most such places are. Good enough if you need to eat something tasty and survive. But I can admit the pizza was tasty, well baked, almost good portion for a medium pizza. Some notes on things that the store could fix and the value they can add is significant: The staff was added cheese to the pizza with no gloves... The pizza box stated that the dough is always fresh, but I could see that the frozen dough could be used as a frisbee as well... Neither the app or the location had any notification about the time needed. When the app showed that the pizza was in the oven, I went to the store, max 5 min walk, and the staff said it was still in the oven. Like 15-20 minutes passed until I got my pizza, so obviously when the app showed that the pizza was in the oven, it wasn't. I need exactly 4 min and 10 sec to bake a pizza at 290 c. When the pizza was ready, someone shouted the name. Not very efficient since there are a lot of people around, talking, staff cannot read every name, people have different accents, someone might be absent minded after waiting in uncertainty for over 15 min. Just a simple screen with a short code for the order which could go green when ready, would be an impactful solution. The printed sticker on the pizza box didn't fit the whole name so the staff shouting names was weird since they couldn't see the full details....
Organising a bit goes a long way in terms of value to the customer.
Last, I would like to make clear that the staff was polite and doing their best running all...
