It used to be a very nice place and fir some reason it is not that pleasant anymore.
We where treated so poorly over the fact that for 45 minutes no one was able to bring us worm water for the tea that we ordered and paid, in fact we received the tea bag inside a tea pot with cold water.
After asking 2 times for water and being dine with put snacks i asked for this to be taken of our bill that was prepaid and request it to be refunded.
We were treated quite poorlyfrom what she calls herself to be the manager, because they now have a new app and therefore they cant give you your money back even if they made a mistake.
We live literally around the corner and definitely, we will not be coming back. It is incredible that the service has gotten so bad.
The worst part is that she even started talking bad about us in French, thinking we did not understand, my daughter told her right away that was really unpolite to talk bad about people behind their back, but nevertheless, we understand or not French or any other language, do you think it’s good manner that the manager talks bad behind the...
Read moreVery disappointing experience this morning at Le Pain Quotidien as the waiter did not bother to take our order - I sat down on the terrace with my kids to have some breakfast. The waiter walked past me several times and looked at me a few times but did not bother to come and take my order. I double checked with the lady at the caisse who said I should order at the table and that she apologized on behalf of her colleague (who could still not bother to acknowledge me even though he saw that I was upset because of his rude treatment). We left to buy our breakfast at la Sirre instead.
I know since previous visits that the service is slow and that it takes a long time to get your order but this was the final straw. I will never...
Read moreHigh prices, Small portions. The food used to be better at this place several years ago. The portions seem to have gotten smaller and the prices have doubled. You nowadays easily pay €20-30 per person for a breakfast..
A granola parfait used to be a nice big glass of granola, fruit and yoghurt for around €5,-. It’s now served in a bowl with less granola, yoghurt and fruit for €10,-. A boiled egg used to come with some pieces of bread, now it’s just one slice chopped up in small pieces, for €4,65!!
It’s a shame this place has changed from a nice bakery with shared tables where you can have a nice chat with people in the neighbourhood to an expensive establishment with...
