Thai Cafe — Restaurant in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre - Sint-Pieters-Woluwe

My husband and I usually recommend this place to our friends and colleagues for eating savory Thai food. Our experience had been good and we were regular costumers, however, our last experience was far from good and very disappointing. First, we were asked to change table to give ours to other customers that "always seat in THAT corner"... since the waiter asked kindly and we are REASONABLE people, we accepted to move to the next table even though we were already having our drinks there. The problem then was that we had to wait very VERY long time to get our main course; those customers in the table next to us got their food and actually finished eating before we got ours!!! (We didn't order anything special that justified the long waiting!). It seemed as if they had forgotten about us and we had to ask about our food twice to the waiters... When the food finally came, I told the waiter that I had graciously agreed to change tables, not the order/priority of service. He said he was sorry but it was a busy day, then I asked him why the customers next to us had got their food so much before even when they ordered after us and he lied to me saying "because they didn't have starters". When I told him that it was NOT TRUE (because I saw them getting starters) he simply walked away and left me there talking!!!!! I was not rude, I politely complained about a bad service... in return, we were again just forgotten there. My husband had no drinks, the empty glass was there for the entire main course and they never came to ask if he wanted something else. We are used to the bad service in Belgium, but this was by far one of the worst we've got... I'm very disappointed. Service was much better before... This is the perfect example of how a bad service can ruin your experience eating in a restaurant even if...

The second time I leave here disappointed. The main person in charge clearly needs customer service training and appears to not want to be there, and in pain to serve you. The waitress is friendly, but service to order anything is a little slow. Food is ok 3/5 Note to others who order takeaway - I ordered take away recently, and was forced to pay 17 euros for packaging for 3 dishes! You can't contest it and need to pay, they will day it's already packed we can't unpack it- and on the 17 euros you can return used boxes and get some of your money back, like 10euro if that - but I found that disgraceful to force that on your customers, without clearly informing them , it's only deep within their website you can find info about it, not when ordering. You can't return their used branded isothermal bags they charge you for, it's a marketing / advertising money generating con disguised as protecting the planet.. They will lose customers with this, I certainly won't...

Nice atmosphere but the food is not worth the price. I wished I had read some reviews before deciding to try this place out. My boyfriend and I ordered some starters (spring rolls and brochettes de poulet) and these tiny portions for the cost of €9,00 arrived... The main dish we ordered had raw veggies and overcooked rice. Mine was quite tasteless, my boyfriends' was supposed to be spicy but, needless to say, it was not. We also ordered some drinks that we left half drunk on the table we just ran away from... Price/quality is disproportionate. We're not gonna visit again, I'm appalled at the so many positive reviews I have read just...
