Al Pronto — Restaurant in Kraainem

I was very pleasantly surprised by Al Pronto. Although we live in the neighborhood and passed it many times, other reviewer's comments about the service kept me away. But, my family's meal last night proved that we should always reserve judgement until we experience it ourselves. We had a wonderful meal and our servers were friendly and attentive, making wine recommendations and being patient with our switching back and forth between French and English. I came here as it had a generally good score for a pizzeria and I wanted to give it a try. I was surprised to see pretty much all the pizzas were at the same price, 15€, which isn't cheap but acceptable for a good pizza. But unfortunately it wasn't really a success. Very bland, low quality ham, pretty tasteless experience. I was rather disappointed as it was not much different from these ready-made pizza you get for 5€ in any supermarket. I guess it's ok to pay 10€ for these as late evening delivery but as a Dine In pizzeria, with the atmosphere being rather meh (associates sitting, looking at me, not even saying hello upon arrival), I found this 15€ pizza overpriced and...

The ordering process was a bit slow (Friday night). I ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce even though it wasn’t on the menu and the server told me that they had spaghetti Arabiatta (which wasn’t on the menu either) so I ordered that. When my dish arrived it was in fact a normal tomato sauce and not a spicy Arabiatta. My friend who had ordered a spaghetti bolognaise payed 10€ and for me I was told that it was 13€ so I asked why because it should be the same price or even lower than the bolognaise which has meat.
