They took us snorkeling, a little fishing, caye caulker, swimming with the sharks, see sea horses, salt water gator, and fed the tarpon, all in one day! These guys are father and son, and the bond they have is wholesome (and sometimes comical). After all the years they have been doing this they are still VERY enthusiastic about the marine life and the surrounding area. They have great stories and are very knowledgeable. My family is more comfortable in the water than I am, and I was very anxious about going out and away from the boat. Daniel (the owner), took a lot of time with me, showed me how to do it, eased my fears, and I had a great time. You dont get that with the more commercial companies. At the end, they filleted the fish we caught to take with us. I would definitely recommend this company for any excursion. We didnt get to eat at their restaurant, but we will...

Fish and lobster are both fantastic, and the additional ramekin of sliced fresh habanero is welcome, and a nice addition for those that want extra heat without putting the pain on the others at the table.
Josh runs a great kitchen and restaurant! It's a blast to see him and bring more koozies to the shutter above the bar. :)
I definitely would recommend it to anyone going to visit San Pedro, and while it might look expensive, the amount of food you get is massive, so there's no need to go crazy ordering. Fritters and ceviche was more than enough for three people, but each of us got entrees to boot. Probably not wise, stomach-wise, but it was all flavorful and amazing. Next time, we'll probably stick to a couple ceviche and drinks for the night.
Highly...
Read moreWe stopped in for a few drinks and a swim. The environment was nice but very disappointed in the drinks and their indifference to our dissatisfaction. The drinks were meager for the cost, very little alcohol and mostly ice, two sips and done. One drink tasted terrible and when returned to the bartender he couldn't care less, didn't offer to replace or refund, just dumped it out and gave us the bill. We paid and left. The only place on the island we felt not wanted. Didn't try the food so no comment on that. There are many many bars and restaurants on this island and we visited a dozen or so during our stay but Hurricanes was the only one that was disappointing. I guess they cater to a younger crowd and just wanted...
