Great views, food, drinks, music, feeding the tarpon, and friendly staff. We were exploring the lagoon-side, and found this little oasis. The sangria was light and refreshing, but depending on the bartender, the presentation was different, so I asked for the layered look, and they made it for me, on the next round. The shrimp and chorizo appetizer was full of amazing flavor. It was hit/miss on the shrimp; several were perfect and a few a little dry, but the sauce was spectacular and I would certainly order it again. The pork chop entree came with other side-options; we requested “double” the garden salad. The pork chop was too dry, but the flavor was really good. The chocolate cake for dessert was gone in seconds; beautiful and delicious. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. After dinner, we watched the sunset, sipping sangria, and then fed the tarpon, off the dock. Overall, a lovely restaurant, on the lagoon side. This location is easy to find, and one of the few places, in the downtown area, to watch a beautiful sunset. In the evening, they offer DJ music and other specials; such as ladies night. It’s a large, two-story, open building; with outdoor-dock-front dining, indoor dining, upstairs-patio dining,...
Read moreProbably the WORST experience I have ever had at a restaurant... After reading the reviews I was so excited to eat here. This was my last meal in San Pedro before going back to the United States. The atmosphere seemed like it was going to be amazing. My sister and I even planned to be there to watch the sunset on the second floor... Instead what we got was one employee playing his 2016 mix track on the TV in the corner and a DJ playing different music as if this restaurant was a nightclub at 2:00 a.m... I asked the waiter if he could turn down the music and he told me that since it was a DJ playing the music, no. Ultimately I had to go talk to the DJ and ask him to turn down the music what you was totally fine with. But since the employee was playing his mix track in the corner we still moved down to the beach seating. So That defeated the purpose of going there to watch the sunset. I ordered the "Lagoona Rasta Pasta" But don't let the fancy description for you, this is just your basic spaghetti sauce with dry chicken. For two people they eat and it to be over $100BZE with such terrible service I can not recommend this...
Read moreWe went there hoping for food, but it didn't start great and it only got worse from there. It was really awkward walking in; even though it was open, we weren't greeted, we had to ask if they were open, and then staff were just not friendly or welcoming. Place was completely deserted (maybe that should have been our first clue).
It seemed like, in the simple act of trying to order, we were confusing the waitress, and then it took too long to get just our drinks. My spouse and I both got rum-based drinks while the kids got smoothies. The adult drinks were incredibly watered down to the point of not tasting like anything besides the copious amount of cinnamon they'd plopped on top; the one smoothie was fine, but the other tasted like they just put Nestlé strawberry milk mix into with some sort of base and called it a day. It barely tasted like anything besides Nestlé mix. To make matters worse, we found that the glass it was served in was chipped. We did not stay for food. Maybe it's better as a club, or for drinks if you're already drunk, but...
