Sip N' Dip — Restaurant in South Caye Caulker

In disbelief about the service we got here. After waiting 10 mins just to get a menu, another 10 mins for someone to come back and take our drink & appetizer and food order. We got our drinks 10 mins later then waited another 30 mins with no appetizers or anything come to the table. We decided to leave after getting our drinks because everything was extremely slow. We then paid for our drinks and left when one of the servers starts cursing us out, saying “F Americans” you guys are all stupid” literally screaming at us as we’re walking out. NEVER have I been cursed out like that by someone! Then to call us names because we’re “American” was quite a shocker!! She was our server the day before and we spent over $150, she had no issue with Americans then. We then tried to ask for a manager to tell them what happen. They all act like they didn’t know who the manager was. If you’re American, do not go here you will be cursed out for being American and...

I feel like this is where Jimmy Buffet would hang out if he were to visit Caye Caulker. My fiancé and I didn't eat here, but the atmosphere and drinks were perfect for that relaxing island vibe we were looking for. I wish we spent more time here. Sip N' Dip is right on the water with a nice wide bar, funny island decor, a fun staff, dock with chairs on it, inter-tubes, and hammocks. When we visited Caye Caulker it was before the high season and this place was really chill, but there were a couple of other lively visitors there that were having a lot of fun joking with the bartender. Our server was constantly smiling ear to ear. They also have an upstairs dining area and it's fairly priced too. Great margaritas. Good vibes...

Ate and had drinks here four times over the course of our one week stay. The atmosphere given beach front, close to split and open air bar made for a fantastic location. The service each time was ok and friendly. I think it’s a situation where the staff works a lot and just looked tired and run down. The staff was friendly. The food was average amongst feedback from our group over the week. Many menu items ordered for lunch and dinner. Obviously it wasn’t terrible given our frequency of visits but in comparison to other restaurants visited it was just ok. The last visit left my stomach in knots the next day.
