This is a great casual restaurant right in the heart of Washington DC. We were looking for a relaxed atmosphere with some variety to the menu. Blackfinn DC did not disappoint. It is a typical restaurant and bar atmosphere and the noise level will increase with an increase in patrons. The entire staff was friendly and the service was relatively quick. The prices seemed very reasonable for this style of restaurant in the DC metro area. The Garlic Parmesan Pretzels as an appetizer were quite good. I am not normally a fan of mustard, however, their mustard cheese sauce paired extremely well with the pretzels. I appreciated that the sauce was served on the side. I can’t say enough about the Shrimp and Garlic Linguine as a main course. Not too overpowering for a pasta dish. Very flavorful and well proportioned. They did not skimp on the shrimp. There was plenty of shrimp to last until the final bite. Blackfinn DC made such an impact on us, we came back for a second night.

All American pub style bar and grill. Two of us were welcomed and seated right away. Our waiter just happened to be one of the managers and who made our cocktails. He was friendly, helpful, and attentive. I was impressed with his professionalism. I was also happy with our food selections. The Cali burgers were delicious. They were fresh and made to order. The fries were scrumptious. The Blossom Tini was refreshingly wonderful. We saved room for dessert. The hot chocolate cake was heavenly. You get good value for quality here. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, and bar seating. There's plenty of TVs to watch games. This place was quite lively and had a locals vibe. It's quite loud, but we were able to have conversations at our both. This is a great place to hang out with friends and family.

First and foremost what restaurant recommends a patron visit its competitor? I will never visit this restaurant again!!

Prior to visiting we called the restaurant to inquire about reservation and was told none was needed. Upon entering the restaurant we were not greeted we actually had to get the host attention. We inquired about the wait time of 20/25 minutes however she proceeded to tell us that we should go to a competitor restaurant which was down the block around the corner. My...

My husband and I first sampled BlackFinn at a charity event where we were gifted a buy one get one free entree certificate. We finally made the trip to use our soon to expire offer this past Friday.

This place was surprisingly empty on a Friday evening. Perhaps because there were no sports/tournament in season? The ambiance was your generic American bar/restaurant much like TGI Friday/Ruby Tuesday. The prices of the dishes were comparable to those restaurants too - not quite sure it...

We came in right before happy hour was ending on a Tues. Local, and it's been on the list of places to visit. Our intent was a quick drink and app before an engagement nearby.

Pros: The hostess - very nice, super sweet, accommodating - definitely was the highlight

Cons: We only had the shrimp and crab dip and calamari ($43). To say dissatisfied is an understatement.

There was no crab in the dip, and it was overseaoned. The calamari was overcooked/fried, and it only had the small rings...
