Explorer Bar Santa Teresa offers an exceptional nightlife experience in the heart of Santa Teresa. From the moment you walk in, the welcoming atmosphere and unique décor set the perfect mood. The cocktails are truly standout, especially the TLB and Passion Sour, which are expertly crafted and bursting with flavour. Definitely worth trying.

The meal options are just as impressive; the ancho steak and chicken pad Thai both deserve a solid 10/10 for taste and presentation. The environment is cozy yet vibrant, an ideal spot to enjoy with friends or a date, securing an overall 10/10 rating for ambiance.

What truly elevates the experience is Cristian, whose incredible service and hosting skills make every guest feel special and well taken care of. His warm hospitality adds a personal touch that keeps visitors coming back.

This place is marvellous! The Bar has the theme of exploring the world.. and so do the Cocktails... you can order a Drink with Cachaça from Brazil.. and one with Tea from London.. So we tried to travel the entire "Cocktail-Planet" which we did.. 4 Friends.. 2 Nights.. and well we were not disappointed! Every drink was different and we loved to watch the skilled bartenders do their job to perfection.

The food is just as good! The guys in the kitchen serve you a perfect curry from the Philippines and an amazing Pulled Pork Burger at the same time. This place just goes the extrs mile to reach perfection!

The best Part were the pink storm trooper socks from one of the waitresses which perfectly fitted to my Banana Socks. I met my Sockmate here! 😀

Tip... just book a room in the smazing Discovery Hotel. The Rooms are big.. we even had a grumpy Cat Pillow.. which shows the attention to Detail they put in this entire Project.

Best Price/Value in Rio and would 100%...

This bar is wonderful if not very well hidden. It's up a very steep hill so accessibility may be a slight struggle for some but it is worth it.

We had planned on just drinks before heading off elsewhere for food but due to a sudden downpour we were stuck. This turned out to be a happy accident as the food is gorgeous and well priced. We shared the Blue Grotto Crunch and Satay Chicken. The pumpkin confit on the crunch is incredible and the chicken was tender and full of taste. We then had separate deserts, both of which are divine.

The atmosphere here is incredibly relaxed in a lush green setting. The staff are very friendly and the service is brilliant. If you visit Santa Teresa, stopping off at this wonderful...

Ex-hidden gem, but luckily well exposed by TripAdvisor. In the cozy area of Santa Teresa, the best option to have a cocktail and a bite. They serve, like many others of Rio’s Bars, vegan and vegetarian food. But also a delicious burger and non-vegetarian options. The atmosphere is loose, unofficial and friendly. There are enough waiters who are open to have a little conversation and who can advice you based on your taste preferences We sat there during sunset, which is a good timing because you can see quite far because it’s location is relatively high up the hill. Ps. If you really want a special experience, you can travel the last part by but - even better - old tram which is famous in that area.
