kez is a blast! it is fun, it is messy, it is full of life, joy and energy. the salmon bagel is scrumptious and it's a true salmon bagel: if you ask to loose the salad & tomato and grill the bagel they do kindly comply. the cafeteria is great. the croissant aux amandes has no rivals in SP. great pain au chocolat. deliriously good burekitas. nevertheless, it's not perfection only: focaccia it's just ok. weak brownie. terrible donuts. a lot to try still, in its vast menu. astral altissimo!
2024 edit in my never ending quest for a good chunk of bread, I've seldom found one of those artisanal breads it was worthy buying twice. it's the same old story: the quality of execution always erratic, once good, the next time so-so. since I bought my first multi-grain at kez, I've been buying it constantly. it is as bread should be and it is consistent in every aspects: quality, taste, ingredients....
Read morePlace was decent. Has a few tables on the sidewalk for outdoor dining, which we prefer. It’s on a corner in a kind of trendy neighborhood. Lots of people out walking their dogs etc. The food was okay, but I wouldn’t say spectacular. It’s clear they’re try ing to imitate something from the US which I often find disappointing when in Brazil. Service was not too attentive. I ordered a water and the waiter disappeared. I assumed he went to get it but later I saw him standing there at the door by our table just looking out to the horizon as if he were dreaming of being somewhere else. I woke him up from his fantasy and asked for the water. He said “didn’t I bring it?” He seemed...
The salad, which was delicious, is no longer fresh and the bread is soaked in butter. But on Friday, while waiting for my coffee, I had a terrible experience. The Ifood worker who was waiting outside, after waiting for more than 20 minutes, came in to see if his order was ready. The order had been there for some time, but none of the many attendants came out to let him know. The man politely complained and said a simple "please, girls", after all I understand that it is part of all of us to help others in their jobs. But on the contrary, the many attendants remained silent and sarcastic. When the man left, the attendant who was inside the cafeteria counter said in a loud and clear voice: "He looks like an Indian". As a customer, I don't like to be in a place that is prejudiced and disrespectful, no matter who you are. I warned him that he sounded prejudiced and asked him to call the manager. The manager was himself, who called for everyone to hear that the gentleman worker looked like "an...
