Racist place as a Dark Skinned American, they forgot to give me a blue card when entering in order to order food, i went all the way to the 8th floor after being dropped off on the 6th floor with the elevator and climbing two flights of stairs to the 8th floor. When trying to order they made me go all the way back downstairs to the first floor to pick up the BLUE card they forgot to give me when entering, and I told the security, who patted me down as if i were a criminal and checked for weapons, they forgot to give me a card and so I decided to leave and couldn't order any food. They then send a black security after me as i walked to the restaurants next door and on the corner. While I was walking calmly not knowing what the guy was saying because he was speaking Portuguese and I clearly only spoke English, he came inside the restaurant where I was looking at the menu and grabbed me trying to pull me out to come back to the restaurant. I didnt allow him, so then he waits for me on the street in front of the restaurant i was looking at and he grabs me by both my arms and tries to pull me to the restaurant in front of all of these white people that were just looking and didn't do anything. I kept expressing to him that they did not give me a card and I did not appreciate the treatment as he was treating me like a criminal with the pat down and not being able to order and then chasing me down the street as if I'm a criminal as if i stole something when common sense would say if you're not able to buy anything because you don't have a card, and i came back down 5 minutes later, why shouldn't you be able to leave if they are the ones who made the mistake. Racist Brazilian colorist. This place i suggest should be defunded, like Israel and the BDS movement. The country and people are fake performative allies and support Racist ideologies and beliefs. As an American i deplore such blatant Racism and hope they lose their business and US Dollars should not...
Read moreIf you're going to get food there please make yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Bar da onça is a better option.
I summarized my terrible experience:
The price was overrated. The waitress don't ask how would you like your meat. You can easily wait 45 min for a simple meal The Salad had no seasoning or topping neither on the table also no salt or pepper was offered. if they're running out ingredients they gonna ask you for replacement. (Chef/staff check your inventory before offering what's on the menu) the table was wobbly. No presence of A/C 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 0 costumer service. Don't expect to the waitress ask how's the food because the staff is overloaded they just bring your food and walk away.
After waiting for 45 min me and my group asked why it is taking so long and the excuse was that they needed to cook more rice (I mean c'mon they should've let us know in the first place). The lady asked if we would like a snack in the meantime and I was like what's the point of waiting more and spend more ??? So they brought us a small portion of chicken as a complimentary for the waiting because we were about to gave up.
I was so starved when my food arrived I decided not to complain about and screw up my night out with my friends. When the food arrived is was pretty Meehhh nothing wow me.
On the check-out they asked me if I would like to tip the DJ after all the bad service and not offering what was on the menu. 🙄
IWish I could have...
