I stayed for 2 nights in the Superior Queen room and my initial impressions were quite good. Interesting façade. Smart reception room. The room is quite big, nicely decorated if a bit outdated, the shower is nice with good water pressure, the bed is very comfortable and there are 4 pillows all very comfortable too. Also the room is very quiet with no street noise at all. The WiFi Internet is awesome. Really fast. The only problem was that the air conditioning unit started leaking and I had to call reception. A technician was sent in promptly and I was told I should change rooms. I did and everything was ok after this. The breakfast was just ok. They were renovating an area of the lobby so on the first two days there were only one lift available. The receptionist at check in was not friendly at all. He didn’t inform me of the renovation, didn’t tell me about breakfast times so I had to call reception afterwards to learn about this and about the gym and swimming pool. This is a problem that is endemic in Brazil. Hotel staff is usually unprepared to deal with clients usually is unfriendly and at best polite. Not to mention English is also a problem for them. I think management should train or hire staff better and this would improve this...
Read moreIt took me a while to figure out Hotel Nobile Downtown’s magic. How it continuously pulls guests and people in. They are after all not the only hotel in downtown São Paulo. But they are perhaps the only one consistently full. Geniality. The magic word. ||||The breakfast buffet is maybe something one can miss, but everything else? Is perfect.||||The Staff are the warmest you’ll ever meet in São Paulo, perhaps even all of Brazil. They are so helpful, despite the difficulty of the language barriers. They’d draw maps for you, tell you where the better exchange rate ForEx shops are etc.||||The best among them is Fatima of the Front Desk. On her day off, she even managed to organise my driver and car for the airport. Fatima is the best. Along with Marcus and everybody at the front desk, bar and restaurant.||||Kudos and best regards to all of you at Hotel Nobile Downtown São...
Read moreAvoid if you are looking for a clean place. Their cleanliness standards are LOW. When staff was informed they said they had no other rooms to move me despite their system online showing availability. Everything had grime 🤢🤢🤢, see pictures. They only lightly sweep the center of the rooms. Tiles and grouting was rotten and black. There were several stains on the wall. Rooms are small and a weird mix of dated stuff and high-tech paraphernalia. Rooms are so tiny that the abajour is just over your bed and there is the real risk of you hitting your face or arms during sleep or when waking up. On the other hand, they have huge 50 inches smart TVs and their air conditioning system does work well. Their "continental" breakfast is actually is a full buffet. Beware of the stuff they leave in the room, it is PRICY, a chocolate that you can buy for 50¢ can cost...
