Jobi — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Rio de Janeiro

Too expensive for the quality of food. I hate writing negative reviews but this one just has to be the way it is.

They say 300ml chopp beer but half of it is froth and they charge you BRL$13 for it. It's literally a sip of beer (something like the flight of tasters quantity).

Food is wayyyyy too overpriced and those two $$ signs on google is a scam. Fried shrimp of 20 pieces is BRL$170 - a joke. Shrimp pizza was only cheese and grease with literally 4 pieces of shrimp. It tasted like someone from a school made it.

Waiters were good because they add the service charge at the end - no way to escape it.

Anyways, avoid if you don't wanna spend premium on really below...

Named after the famous Tom Jobim, Jobi offers a classic bar experience for those looking for a well poured beer and good classic petiscos (appetizers). The bar is, however, known for attracting insufferable showy, arrogant "influencer" Leblon types and the bar knows it. Prices are high, and often not worth it given that there are plenty of bars that are as good, if not better, right around the corner. All in all, the bar is a good example of a classic bar which delivers a well poured beer and good classic appetizers. However, bring out the pocket book and be prepared to either wait to be seated, or be surrouneded by unbearably conceited...

We were threatened and insulted by our waiter after we refused to pay a 30 RS tip that this one added to the pen on our bill. Our waiter shouted throughout the restaurant that we were so poor that we should eat at the beach, and we had to leave the restaurant under the server's screams as all the guests were watching. It was a horrible and degrading experience that tarnished the image we had of Rio and Brazil.

The restaurant does not respect the law in force because they should have pointed out to us that this tip was optional, anyway we have reported the case to Autarquia de Protecao e Defesa do Consumidor do...
