This restaurant gets five stars for the quality of service, ambience, and food. I ordered mushroom bruschetta, mixed salad, Ravioli du chef (with beef) and stuffed trout and lemon pasta.
The mushroom bruschetta and mixed salad were so good that I forgot to take pictures. The bruschetta was perfect for the following: mushrooms were cooked until the right consistency. The bread was crispy enough to provide enough crunch to carry the moisture from the mushrooms and cheese. Yet it didn’t taste like crispy toast. The mixed salad consisted of crisp green lettuce, tomato slices, carrots julienne, hearts of palm and pesto sauce. I was skeptical of eating salad with pesto sauce because I’ve only eaten pesto on pasta. But it was an absolute treat, in part because the salad was not doused in pesto sauce. The pesto was a pleasant surprise …it claimed space but didn’t dominate the plate. I savored the refreshing and light acidity of the heart of palm and crispy sweetness of the carrots. I should have stopped ordering food at this point. But I didn’t.
The meat and ravioli dish was good. My partner enjoyed the rich beefy flavor of the sauce. He was surprised by the uneven temperature of the meat. One part was rare and the ends were medium. Also the ravioli stuffing was inconsistent. Some ravioli shells were filled with a lot of cheese and some barely contained cheese. The pomodoro sauce was delightfully sweet, though. Overall, the flavor profile of the meal was balanced.
The stuffed trout and lemon pasta was imbalanced, though. The fish was beautiful but I couldn’t taste it because the cheese filling overpowered the entire meal. I love fish so this was disappointing. Plus, I’m not a fan of melted cheese, so I didn’t enjoy the stuffing. This meal would have tasted so much better if the trout had been stuffed with sautéed vegetables or seafood.
Our total bill was R$489. The prices are high compared to other restaurants my partner and I have patroned, but the price point makes sense considering the presentation and variety of food offered. My partner and I enjoyed the experience and would return to try another meal.
The server was polite and attentive and accommodating. The restaurant play list was great as it was a mix of bossa nova, MPB and samba.
For the awareness of those visiting from the U.S.A., this restaurant doesn’t provide free water or bread and butter while you wait for your food. I haven’t received that service from other restaurants in Brazil either, so that might be standard. Also, the tip is automatically calculated and included in the bill ...
Read more01/05/2025 - eu e mais 2 amigas ... escolhemos esse lugar pelo que vimos aqui, e pelo que aparentava (bom restaurante com qualidade em Campos) porem pagamos $600,00 pra comer mal, pois desde o inicio já não tivemos um atendimento adequado:
Péssimo. O vinho branco da Eslovênia que escolhemos no cardápio não estava disponível. Pedimos ao garçom Ivan que nos indicasse outro. Após ele consultar o sistema, nos informou que havia um vinho de origem grego (Atlantis) por R$159,00. Aceitamos a indicação. No final, a conta (extrato de conferência de conta) foi apresentada com uma descrição “wine dispenser” no valor de R$299,00. Ou seja, sequer nos apresentaram a descrição correta do produto consumido. Chamamos o garçom que disse que havia se enganado, que o valor constante do sistema está errado. Depois chamou uma pessoa que se identificou como Rafael Silva, que disse que o sistema apresentava inconsistência e estava errado. Ele propôs descontar a diferença do valor do vinho do serviço do garçom e do couvert artístico. Só que eventuais problemas no cadastramento não podem ser atribuídos ao empregado ou ao profissional que está ali fazendo sua apresentação musical. Nos entregaram outro extrato com a descrição do produto com um valor inferior ao primeiro extrato, mas ainda superior ao valor de venda (R$ 279,00). Ou seja, recebemos a informação incorreta do valor do produto. Até o valor da bruschetta Classic (entrada) foi cobrada com valor a maior! Pagamos a conta, com o valor da bruschetta correto, mas, ao final, sob o pretexto de que “o sistema estava fora do ar”, o restaurante não estava emitindo notas fiscais. Somente depois que liguei para o 190 é que o “sistema” emitiu a nota fiscal. Um absurdo! Erros seguidos que não podem ser admitidos em um restaurante desse porte. Temos registros de toda a conversa; dos extratos de conferência para comprovar o absurdo que estavam cometendo contra consumidores, informando valores para vender um produto e cobrando outro, além de somente fornecer a nota fiscal após chamarmos a polícia!
