718 Breakfast & Brunch — Restaurant in Sofia City

We were staying at the hotel across from the restaurant and popped in for breakfast. The place is very nice and the restrooms are very clean. The service was excellent. The bagel was tasty and fresh, but when we asked for jam, they requested an extra charge. The cheesecake was really delicious and worth it. We ordered cappuccinos, which were very highly priced at 7 leva for 200mg, whereas other places charge between 4 and 5 leva. When we wanted a large cappuccino, we were told it wasn't an option, but we could order a 300mg latte and ask for an additional shot of coffee, which changed the latte's price to 11 leva. Very, very expensive. Most importantly, the cappuccino was so cold we had to ask them to heat it up. It's unclear how the employee didn't know to serve it at the correct temperature. We paid 36 leva for: 2 cappuccinos 1 cheese bagel Extra jam 1 cheesecake ...plus 4 leva for service. Expensive. When we moved to another cafe later, we paid 4.5 leva, almost half the price. This has to be my favorite restaurant / cafe in Bulgaria! The food is AMAZING! Fresh! Quality! Creative! Outstanding! I could eat here everyday! Everyday delicious and everyday fresh!

Having lived all over the world - I always hope to find that restaurant that feels like home - and tastes just as good :)

Not hard to figure out why... once you meet the owners and meet the waiters and waitresses! Nikolai and Daniel have created something extraordinary here! Top Notch! Personable! Professional! Creative!

The waitresses Katya, Simona, Mariam and Neda - add an amazing ambience - of care, kindness, warmth and professionalism! Highest marks possible for the SERVICE - for these stars - it's too bad there are only 5 stars.

Food is decent - had the Cuban pulled pork sandwich and Croque Monsieur, but didn't enjoy the salad on the side - it's very weird mix with a kiwi dressing.

For a place named and inspired by NYC, was definitely looking for an American cheese cake - they had it some time ago...for a weekend, maybe.

Atmosphere - minimalistic and confusing. "How do expect to find a NY Cheese cake in a Parisian bistro?....Oh wait, it's not Parisian, but supposed to be American ,silly me"

BUT exceptional utensils, love the forks!

Service - excellent! Lots of young people and everybody's buzzing about.
