I can't recommend this restaurant enough!! It was absolutely amazing. We had to queue for 5 minutes before entering because it is so popular. The staff are all really friendly, the food is delicious, the vibe is great and the prices are unbelievable There is so much to choose from on the menu, don't get Me wrong - the dishes aren't as full as what they are in the pictures but for around £6-£7 per main you can have 2x mains with sides desserts and drinks for less than £20 per person. I personally had the Angus burger which was probably the best burger I have ever had. We also had an extra main of Pork Tenderloin to share. The potato popcorn bites are a MUST, also the garlic ciabattas. For dessert we had chicolate siuffle which was to die for!! I want to go back to Sofia just to eat here again.

I have very specific diet preferences and as a tourist it's always a hassle to figure out all the allergens. The menus were in English and also contained information about allergens which made it a lot easier to choose. Staff also asked for preference of smoke/non smoke area which I thought was neat. You are assigned a table. The service was quick. I was given a menu within 5 minutes time and within another 5 minutes I was asked what I'd like to eat. Drink arrived rapidly and I'm currently waiting for the food. So far, the service and customer experience have been above what I experienced in other restaurants. The waiter took the food menu after the order, therefor photos are only on drinks and desserts. Cheers!

After a long and tiring day of sight seeing, we found the Happy bar and grill next to the St Nedalaya Churh. Without a hesitation (this is a chain of restaurants across various countries and you can see they advertise hard!) we entered the restaurant. The size of the restaurant is immeasurable, it can surely accommodate 100s of hungry mouths! You find traditionally dressed 10s of waiters and waitresses at your disposal. There’s also an electronic caller gadget on each of the table should you summon them instantly without having to wave your arm. The menu has wide variety of cuisines ranging from traditional Bulgarian to American to English to Japanese and others! The menu looks quite affordable and tempting! The food wasn’t bad although I would’ve expected my Spinach soup piping hot! The cucumber maki was delicious. We didn’t have to wait for long, fortunately!

AMAZING FOOD! I can't speak for the meat options, but we had the autumn salad & fried cauliflower which were absolutely delicious, and the falafels were good too. We also had the pumpkin with honey & walnuts for dessert which was tasty. The service was excellent: very friendly & efficient. My only regret was that they didn't have the vegan burger which I'm now sure would have also been very good. I had read from another review that there is an included service fee which for us came to €3 (it was more than 10%) but we were more than happy with the food & service so wasn't an issue. The only "minus" is that the toilets are letting down the otherwise excellent experience - wouldn't stop me from going again however.

We avoid chains generally, but this Happy was recommended by a local and we weren't disappointed. It has a wide selection that caters to a variety of tastes - so no one goes disappointed. The ingredients were fresh. Loved the pomegranate juice. Good quality and excellent price. Fast service. The only complaint is that they make us and children walk through a smoking area before one can reach the non-smokimg area. Shows disregard for our health, subjecting people to involuntary and unavoidable passive smoking. However, do bear in mind that this is no different attitude from most restaurants in the region. Overall, worth a visit. I wish we had something like this in London (oh wait! There is a Happy Grill here too 😊).

We really enjoyed it, the restaurant looks great, the food was really good and the staff was helpful and friendly. We ordered two portions of crispy chicken wraps with french fries, sauce, salad and a small desert next to it. It was really good, we especially liked the salad. Unfortunately we stopped by only to have a quick bite so we couldn't stay to try some other things, but we were pleasantly surprised by the food and serving so we will surely come again. They have many options, there is even a separate menu only for sushi, and if I'm not mistaken they may have some vegetarian options as well. All in all if you are near the center and want some really good food I can totally recommend it.
