This is a French restaurant and bar in one of the old, historical and colonial homes of Phnom Penh. It’s mostly packed with tourists and expats, but also Khmer, both local and expats every Friday’s night. There’s a Khmer band, The Magic Bus Band, that does Khmer oldies from the 60s and 70s. People can even get up and dance or sing their favorite song blasted from the past. The food is great. There’s a square island bar you can sit and drink. There is outside dinning as well as inside. Everything is a bit pricey, but the atmosphere and the music are worth it.The ambience is part of the expense you’re willing to pay for. It’s definitely a place to get all dressed up, all decked out and bourgeois just like part of time past, nostalgic and all, but never the same feeling, after such history of destruction, violence and war. It’s contemporary now, and it’s safe to be nostalgic. Just go there for a night out with good friends and lovers. They have quite a great selection of wines you can order by the bottle to share. Enjoy it...

It all happened Wednesday night at Bouchon though. Blue Wave performed a lovely mix of Blues, Jazz and Bossa Nova. The band was the reason I chose this place. I saw them posted on a fb group called Interesting Things To Do In Phnom Penh. The music was far better than what I was expecting and every other aspect of the evening aligned.
I recommend this place enthusiastically. I'm sure I'll be back there sooner...
Read moreMy favorite French restaurant and wine bar in Phnom Penh. Food tastes really good. So far I love everything I had eaten there, all kind of tapas especially olive tapenade, tuna caprisio, tofu soup, seafood soup, lemon tart.
Great selection of French wines and cocktails. Happy hour for lady's 1get1 free from 6-8pm everyday.
Service was excellent every time I go I received a same experience of high standard service comparing to most of restaurant on Phnom Penh.
Finally the restaurant itself was in a lovely old colonial style house. Good selection of Jass music played.
This place is a must visit if you fancy just to chilling out for a drink or even a formal dinner is...
