Crafted burgers indeed!
My husband and I were simply passing through town, and I was cruising the internet looking for an interesting place to eat. the pictures (wowsa) knocked me over and then the reviews! My husband is a big fan of burgers and these looked impressive!
The place itself was bare bones, everything they had went into the burgers and poutines that are their specialty.
We both had the burger of the month, the "onionator". I had mine with the classic poutine and my husband tried the deep fried pickles!
The flavours were amazing - the fries were beer battered and perfectly prepared, the gravy was hot, hot enough to properly melt the cheese curds. Deep fried pickles were new to us and we loved the crunch and briny flavour combo!
Every bite of the burger was different as my mouth simply wasn't big enough to take it all in. Crispy onion rings paired with moist meat and sweet barbeque sauce, sauteed onions and garlic aoli, I am still drooling.
This is not a meal for those trying to avoid fat - these burgers embrace the melding of flavours that cooking with fat brings.
Eat salad tomorrow for today we are...
Read moreWe drive through 100 mile during our bc road trips up north. Never have really stopped for lunch before - usually a coffee. this time we decided to stop for lunch here and just randomly picked a place. We landed here and what a great place we ended up. We all had burgers and poutine - the burgers were awesome and filling. Try the kiwi burger. Never had pickled beets in a burger before but it works (get extra napkins- the burger is messy with the fried egg). The buns were fresh and lettuce crisp. Burger was cooked well and was juicy and nice sear. Buns were brioche buns so extra great touch. The poutine was good too.
Definitely worth a stop and have a burger.
The staff taking our order was also really great and friendly. Made it a great experience too.
The place isn’t fancy looking - but looks are deceiving - the food was great. Will be putting this as one of our stops for some eats...
Read moreI consider myself a connoisseur of good burgers, not only is it my standard go to in a restaurant if I'm not sure about quality of dishes, I really appreciate a great burger. I've always said if it's not running down your arms it's not a good burger, well GBR the Great Burger Revolution lives up to their name. My favourite place to go anywhere I have been in my life hands down. And to make a perfect thing even better they specialize as well in great poutine, 6 variations on menu + Poutine of the month as well as Burger of the month. All at Beyond reasonable prices. GBR it is always my first recommendation for a place to eat to anyone who asks. This go I got the Redneck Burger and the Perogy Poutine. Both for under $20 😮 Talk about value for a homestyle burger and Poutine. Treat yourself and experience the GREAT...
