I visited Pita Pit today at 11 a.m. and ordered a falafel sandwich on a whole wheat pita. When the toasted whole wheat pita was brought out, it didnât look appetizing to me. I politely asked to have it switched to a white pita instead. At this point, the staff member working (a girl with her hair up and a round face) responded rudely, saying, âThatâs how it is.â I explained that I didnât like how the whole wheat looked after being toasted and requested the switch again, which was eventually done.
Everything seemed fine until we got to the last step. While wrapping the pita, she used the same gloves she had been wearing to wipe gyro meat off the prep table. This was shocking since she was handling a vegetarian pita, and it was clearly cross-contamination. When I pointed this out, she defensively replied, âYou seemed like you had a problem from the minute you walked in the door.â I was absolutely astonished and left speechless by her attitude.
I calmly explained the issue, and she asked if I wanted her to change her gloves. By this point, the damage was already done. I asked to have it remade but decided to let it go and eat what was made.
As I sat down to eat, she loudly told a co-worker, âI donât know what the ladyâs problem is,â in front of another customer and within earshot of me. This level of disrespect and unprofessionalism was unbelievable.
I was incredibly disappointed by the lack of staff etiquette and food-handling practices at this location. Judging by other reviews, it seems like this isnât an isolated issue. Pita Pit seriously needs to implement better training and enforce proper food safety and customer service standards. This experience has left a bad impression, and I am...
Read moreIf i could give zero stars, I would. I come to Pita pit on south fraser regularly after my workout. The same old white lady with grey hair is always there. I dont think ive ever met such a rude lady. Everytime i come in she never greets me or any other customers. I asked for lettuce she said âwell theres 2 types pick oneâ then sighs and rolls her eyes. Not to mention, the way she speaks to her employees is so rude, Ive seen her yell at the employees. If shes the manager, she needs to get fired. Theres another location by fraser highway. I highly recommend going there. She needs to check her attitude because myself and couple of my friends who also go to pita pit have had similar experiences. I really hope she reads this review because she needs to learn to be kind and welcoming rather than arrogant and rude.
Ive read all the 1 star comments and they ALL said the staff is rude and unwelcoming starting from 4 YEARS AGO?? Why hasnt anyone taken action to fire the old lady that works there? I didnt order attitude with my pita pit. Please take action instead of asking customers to reach out to...
Read moreEDIT: Iâm back! Yay!!! They got rid of the awful staff and went back to fantastic staff!!! My pita was perfect again. I missed my pitas but the staff they had there were sooo awful I couldnât justify going there. Now Iâll be back regularly! The ladies working there today on âMay the fourth be with you â!!! Youâre awesome!
Been eating here at least once a week for 2 years. After today WONâT be back! You have to ask over and over to get vegetables. I got the scrapings of the bucket on everything. Donât get carrots - theyâre usually black and look like theyâve been sitting out for weeks. I ordered bacon , paid for bacon and told them to keep it as they donât know what well done is. It looked like raw and slimy. To top it off I think there was more mustard than all the toppings put together. The service was terrible. The last 3 visits have been beyond disappointing. Three times- strike youâre out! You lost a good customer today. See ya Oh yeah and itâs expensive too. So not good food, bad service and...
