Purdys Chocolatier — Restaurant in Abbotsford

My girlfriend and I initially came to Abbotsford for the Tulip Festival. After we decided to go to Seven Oaks Mall for the first time and we were shopping for mother's day gifts and had a good shopping experience until we arrived at Purdy's. My girlfriend purchased a box of a chocolate and the lady at front asked me what kind of chocolate I wanted and when I pointed out what chocolate I wanted she rudely told me that I can't put my hand over the window. I simply pointed out what chocolate I wanted because when I was telling her she didn't understand so I had to point to it and just because I'm taller and my arm length is long it slightly reached over the glass and she rudely told me "YOU CAN'T PUT YOUR HAND OVER THE WINDOW!" with such attitude and I strongly felt discriminated, had she calmly had said it or been more polite but she basically yelled out as if I committed a crime . My girlfriend and I have been shopping at Purdy's for years and have always had excellent service but however I will not ever return to this location again! Worst Purdys employees ever and will not buy from this...

Poor Dianne, she had to serve a large family ice cream while I stood at the counter for ten minutes while the other blonde haired lady, visited with her friend ignoring us. Great customer service! When I finally was served I complained and the blonde haired perpetrator never said word, never apologized and ran into the back. Love the chocolate, but will take my business elsewhere, since you don’t value it.

UPDATES The Regional Manager called me and listened to my complaint and agreed with me that it was terrible service and not indicative of Purdy’s. I will go back to Purdy’s but never to this location. Thank you Donna,...

Disgusting behaviour from the manager. I heard her continuously yelling at a visibly sick employee that she could not go home, regardless of vomiting multiple times. Her customer service is terrible and I found her constantly rolling her eyes at me when I was asking about certain chocolates. Will not be supporting again....
