Ugh, I have been dreading to have to write this. I’ve been going to sneakers for 20 plus years and have built relationships with many of the amazing servers and made countless friends throughout the years. We go there weekly for drinks, a bite to eat, celebrations and sporting events. Unfortunately slowly but surely management/ owners have been pushing out and giving experienced and long time servers minimal shifts. The service from the new staff is absolutely horrible! I can’t even count how many times I’ve sent back drinks because they miss an ingredient or have no idea how to make it! Constantly screwing up my bill and or just completely ignoring me and my friends who order ALOT of drinks and food. ( we are regulars) I’m ok with hiring new people but you sure as hell don’t crap on your loyal staff who have been there from the jump! Where is the loyalty! Big pet peeve of mine! This pub has been going down hill slowly but surely over the years. The new owners don’t really give a crap about their employees or the quality of the food. ( chicken wings are gross… it’s a pub they should be delish!! Not have the size of my pinkie)! I miss when the old owners had it. They actually cared. This is how bad it is….i heard a regular customer bought outside patio chairs because the old ones were falling apart! The customer has done this twice! And not even a thank you from the owners or management. Don’t even get me started on the lousy sound system and TVs in this “sports bar”! Something needs to change here and fast! New management? New owners? Please someone buy this bar!!!! Heard rumours it’s on the market? For now I’ll plant my rear in a chair at Abby road and spend my $$ there… which has amazing sound system and 40 TVs and an unbelievable patio! Unless of course my favourite servers are working at Sneeks. Which is minimal these days. Ugh! 😔 Soooooo many regulars are jumping ship all due to a mismanaged bar. Oh and one more thing….. the bathrooms…. 🤢 they are absolutely disgusting! A new paint job. Fill the holes in the walls. Doors that actually lock. And last but not least hire cleaners that actually clean them! They constantly...
Read moreCame to watch one of the Oilers Playoff games because they are a sports bar. Pub was about half full. We sat down in front of a TV showing a old game as the game hadn't started. Once they started the game we realized the TV was crappy and had lines down it so we moved to a different spot where we could watch a tv that wasn't wrecked. We sat for quite awhile waiting for menus. When we got our menus we sat for quite awhile waiting for someone to take our order. At one point there where 3 server girls all talking at the bar and 1 male server running his butt off. The ladies sitting at a table beside us where getting really mad because they couldn't pay their bill and leave because they couldn't get the servers attention. The one lady finally got up and grabbed someone. The guy who finally came over and helped us was very hard to hear and he spoke very to little English. We asked him a couple questions about the menu but seemed like he wasn't normally working as a server because he couldn't answer any of our questions or maybe he just didn't understand us. We stayed for the first 2 periods but was hard to get a beer. At one point we where waiting about 20 minutes for 1 beer we ordered which is crazy in a sports pub. The 1 redeeming factor was the food. We ordered 2 orders of wings because they are usually so small 1 order isn't enough but their wings where really big and the sauce on the one was really really good and the dry rub on the other amazing. I had the Wonton soup which was pretty good as well. The people behind us when we moved to another spot waited a really long time for their food and where joking about ordering some pizza to them to tide them over until their food came. I don't think we will come back to sit down but would definitely order their wings for take out. Also I want to say the pub WAS NOT packed. I would say maybe a little over half. If the place had been packed I wouldve understood but the place...
Read moreMy husband and I are very very regulars at sneakers and everyone knows us. We have several friends we take there and even recommend our Airbnb guests to dine there, but that stops now. We went they yesterday and invited friends to join us. I ordered to the fish n chips the first plate came out to very burnt and when I took my first bite it was cold on the inside so I opened it up a bit more it was raw on the inside, I sent it back. And let me add I never send food back. Second try at the fish came I opened it up raw again. So I ordered the quesadilla. Venga came over asked how was everything, so I told him. He said he would talk to the kitchen. That was it we never saw him again. No I’m sorry the meal is on us no nothing. The severs were amazing as always and felt bad for us knowing how much we we come.we love all the servers they are amazing and if they lose anymore that place will become a ghost town because they are what make sneakers.I am so disgusted on how the kitchen sent out 2 raw fish and chips and venga did nothing.
Just like the time in February I slipped on cardboard that was laying on top of a persons puke and instead of cleaning it he laid cardboard down on top and left it right at the entrance at the top of the stairs. I slipped on the wet cardboard and fell hard had bruises up and down my body(I have pics) the waitress gave me my drink for free but that was my first drink and we left I was in so much pain. A month later venga gave me a $50 gift certificate it was appreciated but not worth the pain I went thru for weeks from something that was clearly on him. Again I adore the servers but I am not impressed with management and will be on the lookout for a better hangout for us and take our $$$ elsewhere for the majority...
