Let's just start with how friendly these guys are!! This was our first time here, once they knew that, the French owner came over with some of the smoked meat for us to try and started telling us all about the place. When I asked what the NFLD Poutine was, he ushered a sample of the dressing (stuffing) and told us all about how EVERYTHING is made fresh! When we finally decided and ordered, he came back to use with some sugar pie 🤤 omg, so good! We had such a hard time deciding, we really tried to have a little of everything and share it all. Amazing people who work here! Now the food!! If you like meat....the smoked meat is so soft, tender and juicy! The pepperoni is melt in your mouth, seriously! And stacked.....well they really try to make sure you aren't left hungry!! In the end we got the Smokey Meat sandwich, the Pepperoni burger (has 2 patties), and the NFLD poutine. To take home, we got 2 ultimate subs (HUGE), 2 eclairs, 2 mini cinnamon buns and a WHOLE sugar pie cause it was that good!! This weekend, I will be comatose from the food and the baked goods! But everything we have tried is AMAZING!! Only thing we didn't try yet is the sub. My son took his to attempt and was shocked how heavy one half was. He eats a lot and thinks he will only get through half. So worth it!!

After seeing great reviews on the Calgary Foodies Facebook page, we were inspired on a whim to go there for dinner last night. A quick trip to Airdrie and we found Flavours of Montreal on Main Street shining like a beacon of light in the dark. It’s a thin parking lot with maybe 7 spots, but people are moving through quick! You are greeted by smiling energetic staff when you walk in, and we had Melissa greet us and explain the menu as it was our first time! Very well done!! A full cabinet of in store baked goods (with the exception of gluten free foods) looked amazing! We tried the Skor cookie sandwich and Skor bar, both delicious! For our dinner we chose the Reuben sandwich and the Newfie poutine! Both were generous sizes and filled with quality ingredients that were fresh and delicious. The Reuben was STACKED with Authentic Montreal smoked meat, cheese and tangy sauerkraut alongside a pickle. The Newfie poutine had good sized fries, with cheese curds and gravy, then what made it special, topped with a maritime stuffing!!! I love stuffing and this was the most amazing combination ever. Thank you Flavours of Montreal team!! We will be back to enjoy more of the menu!

Oh my goodness!!! So good! This was our first visit. I came in after reading a Facebook review comparing most of the cinnamon buns around Airdrie. This little shop came in first so I knew I had to try it. I had the kids size newfie poutine...I made it half way through lol. My friend had the sub and fries lunch special and loved hers too. The lady who took our order was so kind. I asked her a few questions about the menu and she was clearly happy to help and well informed. When I was between the kids poutine and the newfie one, she told me I could get the toppings on the kids size. Woo-hoo! I wouldn't have known without her investment towards the customers. I'll definitely be back šŸ™‚ Be aware there's only 3 tables, with hard chairs. I wish it was a little Morse restaurant-y. It feels like the kind of place you would normally order take out from šŸ™‚ I would love to see them have a location that is more dining in friendly. Steady flow of traffic in the little shop though for a Thursday, quite the rush just after 3pm as well so must be well loved.

Where to start....... overpriced for what you get. Sandwich had a lot of meat on it so that's why they get one star. Problem with the meat is you take one bite of the sandwich and all the meat comes off. The bread seems like it is something bought at the dollar store. Like for the price you pay get a real bakery to bake you rye bread. And last is the fries. They were gross!!!!! It's like they deep fry the fries before they are ordered then just dip them back in the fryer to heat them up not to mention no seasoning at all. No salt no pepper no seasoning salt. Dont waste your money!!!

Update after the owners response. So they must not understand what I was saying. They got the star because of the amount of meat. The problem is that the meat is so chewy with fat that it all falls out on the first bite. I understand you may be offended with the review but I would hope the criticism would help you fix the problem. Instead you just decide to show your real colors by defending the issues. Anyway not worth anymore of my time. Good luck!

Update!!!

I just finally went back for the first time since I made my first review. I did the Rubin burger and all I can say is yum!!!! That is on point!! Meat was great!!! Burger was great, bun was good!!! It was all good. Huge be prepared for a meal with this baby. Did not try the fries again but people I was with did. Look good but still no seasoning is what I was told. Anyway definitely will be back. Oh and dessert was...

My hometown is Montreal, born and raised and I have tried every single poutine joint back home. I stumbled on this restaurant on google, and having being called ā€œFlavours of Montrealā€ really got me curious. Perhaps, this restaurant can be my go to when I miss home. I went to try their poutine… to me if you can get the poutine right, you understand everything else from Montreal. However, the poutine did not taste anything like any Montreal poutine, the fries were spot on, the cheese quality was good! The gravy… was disappointing, the magic in a Montreal poutine is the gravy! At first glance, their gravy was light in colour. When I tasted it, it was bland no spice and did not compliment the rest of the dish. A real gravy, will be dark in tone which will result to a deep flavour, along with the perfect spices in it which will make a perfect poutine. However, they deserve three stars, I’m not here to bash this restaurant, I’m sure they have other great selections. It just not my first place in mind if I want to eat food close to home. I may not come back here but the staff are very welcoming and I’m sure if your coming to eat without comparing it to Montreal food, you...
