From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance that instantly made me feel at home. Now, let's talk about the stars of the show - the delectable desserts. I had the pleasure of trying their Cream Kunafa, Cheese Kunafa, Basbousa, and Bakhlava, and each bite was a heavenly experience. The Cream Kunafa was a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess, while the Cheese Kunafa melted in my mouth with its rich, indulgent flavors. The Basbousa was moist and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the Bakhlava was a symphony of crunchy layers and sweet honeyed goodness. Not only were the desserts exceptional, but the service was also impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and passionate about ensuring that every guest had a memorable experience. The Hospitality of SARAH especially makes this place shine more. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with cozy seating and tasteful decor that added to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're craving a sweet treat or looking to indulge in authentic Middle Eastern desserts, Kunafas is the place to be. With its delightful offerings, warm atmosphere, and top-notch service, Kunafas has truly set the bar high for dessert destinations in Ajax. I recently ordered the strawberry DUBAI chocolate cup, and while I was eager to indulge, the experience was more frustrating than delightful. The chocolate-to-strawberry ratio felt unbalanced, with an overwhelming amount of chocolate and not enough strawberry to complement it. Additionally, the cup was filled to the brim, making it difficult to enjoy without creating a mess. The small opening at the top made it challenging to maneuver a fork in and out, especially with a strawberry, so we had to remove the lid—only to have a significant portion of the dessert spill out. What should have been a simple indulgence became a stressful and messy ordeal. This was my second time trying something new from this spot, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. However, I must give credit where it’s due—the pre-made chocolate bars and the DUBAI chocolate baklava were absolutely divine and deserve a solid 5-star rating. The other baklava, however, was on the drier side, and while the Turkish kunafa with cream was enjoyable, it wasn’t particularly memorable. On a brighter note, the cleanliness of the establishment was impeccable—almost on par with Crumbl in Ajax, which I highly appreciate. A spotless kitchen and dining area show the team’s dedication to hygiene and order, even during rush hour. Moreover, the staff were incredibly friendly and patient, which made the visit more pleasant despite the dessert mishap. Overall, while some desserts were a miss for me, the quality of their pre-made treats, the welcoming staff, and the pristine environment still make this spot worth visiting. A fair 3/5 rating.

We stopped by specifically to try their strawberry cups. When we arrived, we were the only customers in the store and things seemed calm. Since I saw that the desserts were being freshly prepared, I ordered three. However, the product we received was noticeably different from the original version they showcase. It was missing the crispy kunafa that is supposed to be a key component. Our cups only contained strawberries, chocolate, and pistachio cream. Strangely, the orders prepared for customers after us were made correctly, with all expected ingredients. As we were leaving, we politely pointed this out and mentioned that our cups didn’t match the original product. At first, we were told the kunafa was mixed into the pistachio cream, but after we insisted that ours clearly lacked it, they offered to remake the desserts. Unfortunately, after already having consumed a very sweet version of the treat, we didn’t feel like having another round. While we appreciated the offer to correct the mistake, we believe the order should have been made properly in the first place — especially when there was no rush or customer load.
