A&W Canada — Restaurant in Alberta

If I could give this place a zero I would. My husband and I wanted an egg and cheese with egg white only this morning. This “ Fast food” restaurant stated it was going to take them FIFTEEN MINUTES to make a egg and cheese with egg white only!!! However to have a regular egg and cheese there was no wait! We are frequent customers at A&w and we have never encountered this type of wait for an egg and cheese! When asked why it would take 15 minutes they stated they are getting ready for lunch! Perhaps they forgot they serve ALL day breakfast. We spoke to the assistant manager who stated his name was Aman who then said because they were so busy it would take 15 minutes to make the egg and cheese and proceeded to say that if we wanted to wait we could if not we can go! With such great words coming from a “assistant manager” there was no way that we would give our hard earned money to them. Not to mention before ordering an egg and cheese the beyond burger was going to take FIVE minutes to make. Perhaps this A & w need to give positions to people are are actually able to “assist” customers and able to “manage” a busy chain where it doesn’t take 15 minutes to serve a...

I have made two attempts to submit a complaint to customer service, I am still waiting for a response from June 26/24. Please respond so that I may make informed choices about eating at A&W in the future?

My first job was in fast food and I understand the expectations of serving fresh food that has not expired past the timer from when it was cooked.

I have been frequently served room temperature burgers, fries and onion rings from the A&W drive thru in Canmore and when time permits I try the food before driving away and ask for fresh food if I receive food is not sufficiently warm. Today I was served room 2 chubby chicken burgers with patties at room temperature on the outside and cold in the center. I was told I used coupons so l didn't pay full price and it's wasting their food to ask after receiving cold food to expect freshly cooked food.

I was then told if I want fresh food I have to make that specific request when placing my order and if I try a bite of the food and it is not warm the manager will not replace the food.

IS THIS A COMPANY WIDE POLICY OR JUST SPECIFIC TO THE A&W IN...

We were at the Canmore location on a Sunday morning at 11:05 am and we asked for the Classic Breakfast and were told it was too late. My wife pointed out it was only 5 min late and could they not make a small exception. The hostess then turned to ask her manager and got a flat NO. As disappointed as we were we ordered breakfast sandwiches. But as we waited the further 5 minutes to get our sandwiches 5 orders of the Classis Breakfast were placed on the counter over that period. This made us very angry. They were obvously still making the meals we wanted but would not serve us as 11:00am is a barrier not to be broken. Brings back memories of the movie "Falling Down" with Michael Douglas starring. I say no more.
