Went in during brunch/lunch hours and it was very busy. The restaurant is in a plaza with a lot of other amenities, and is accessible. It took quite a while to get our order taken as they had seemed backed up and lacking workers at the front. However, once we had been seated, the atmosphere was very cozy, warm and was very nicely decorated. But the spacing was very tight as it is a smaller cafe/restaurant.
We ordered the hot chocolates, “earl grey hot chocolate” which was on the sweeter side and “praline rocky road” which was a bit more bitter as it was more rich from the cacao. It was enjoyable. However, when we got our dessert waffle and beef dip sandwich, it was a bit more on the bland side, it was not very flavourful which was a downside seeing how costly it can be.
Waffle was a bit hard/dry and overcooked. And I found it odd that the dip for the sandwich was not an au ju but a thick/gelatinous gravy instead? Possibly their own version of the dip? Fries were bland and needed more time being fried, not sure if it was frozen because of the texture and taste? Needless to say, the presentation was better than the overall taste.
I would say they specialize more in beverages as oppose to food. I would more likely come back for the hot chocolates. And it would be nice if they could possibly include more people at the front that way it is not as backed up with customers. However, decent experience. And despite the busy hours, the front end was...
Read moreA very cute place just a short stroll from hotel alley. They have lots of chocolate inspired items (note the name) and a nice cafe feel. It is set up for small parties (tables of 2-4 mostly) with comfortable cushions and nice decor.
We came in around 10:30 and got our food and drinks within 15-20 minutes. I got a strawberry banana smoothie which was a good size for the price, and my wife the Earl Grey hot choclate which was very tasty.
She ordered the Apple crumble cheesecake crepe and I ordered the illegal waffle (carmalized banana, vanilla ice cream and chocolate drizzle).
The food was very tasty and the chocolate accents were nice. Dishes are VERY sweet, so while tasty, I would be cautious to order too much food as it was difficult to finish in one sitting even if the volume was fairly standard.
A nice little restaurant for locals and vacationers alike with a clever spin on the traditional...

The first bite took me back and not in a good way. The second and third bite still didn’t produce any results. After the fourth bite, it was determined that this meal was uneditable. The vegetables were all slimy and the egg color was colorless. Very disappointed in the food quality. Chef Ramsey needs to visit this establishment because this food was absolutely not OK to serve. I could have complained, but nothing else look good to me. Ended up going to a different restaurant to have breakfast. I hope my unfinished plate makes a statement that they need to do better. On a positive note, the mocha...
