Disappointing visit to Apres Canmore due to poor service, slow pizza delivery, and lackluster food/drinks.
Our table of six ordered five pizzas, which were unable to be served at the same time as this restaurant only has one pizza oven that can only make one pizza at a time. So we all had pizza over about a 20 minute delivery window. Confusingly, pizza comprises half their menu, so you would intuit that this establishment would have a commercial pizza oven to support their volume. The pizzas were generic but tasty.
We also ordered the beef rib bowl, of which the broccolini was ice cold while half the sliced beef was dry because they forgot(?) to sauce it and the other half delicious and sauced.
Our server rushed our table to order dinner and drinks, yet she had to be reminded constantly to refill water, and she also forgot half of our table’s second round of drinks order of approximately $40. She brought out the cheque with these missing drinks included, which we had to point out were never served. She then stated the drinks were already waiting on the bar while literally pointing to an empty bar. After fixing the cheque, she then stated that the drinks were never put through.
Further, the establishment doesn’t even have drinks on tap- everything comes out of cans or bottles.
Overall, the establishment itself feels like it was a slap dash approach to opening a restaurant- it should be reasonable to expect this restaurant to have the capacity to produce pizzas for an entire table given that pizzas are half their menu. Given the bar/late night vibe, you would also expect this establishment to have drinks on tap. Food is generic and beware of ice cold broccolini with your half...
Read moreGreat little spot. In particular, the ingredients stuck me as high quality and quite fresh. Some interesting takes on some very common fusion dishes made for a unexpedtedly delicious meal.
The food was the right temperature, well presented and reasonably priced, especially when you consider the "Canmore Markup" that is typical of several other restaurants.
My only feedback was that the beer menu in particular had only an OK selection, but wasn't super well organized for reading, didn't list the brewery, or describe the beers or any suggested pairings. Same for the wine list.
We brought our toddler here, and while they don't have any toddler amenities, we brought our own portable seat and they were very accommodating and good with him. The staff were attentive, friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work.

Read moreImmediately this pizza offering joins the top tier of pizzas I have had in Canmore (Stoney’s, Crazy Weed). The best sauce and cheese combo in the town in terms of taste and ratio. Tied for the highest quality meats of any pizza place in town (Crazy Weed). Amazing charred puffy crust. My only nit pick, and it is minor and not enough for me to drop a star off, is that the thin crust is a touch too thin and thus flimsy. It is a two hand to a slice type of pizza, rather than a single handed grab and go. Otherwise, I cannot say enough great things about this pizza. Simply excellent. Half price for happy hour as well so only $12 for this 12 inch za. Top...
