We were seriously disappointed with our most recent visit. In past visits to Canmore we would also make sure to stop at the Rocky Mountain Bagel Company because it was always so great. We've been away from Alberta for the past 10 years, and this was our first time back. We visited the new location. The wait time was insane. The first time we went by, there had to be at least 50 people in line, but it was a Saturday at lunch, so understandable (can't be helped). We decided to skip it and come back at a later time. Around 2:00pm there were only about 15-16 ppl in line, so we decided to give it a go. I figured it would be worth the wait (because it always had been in the past). So we waited in line which took 30 mins, and then waited an additional 30 mins for the food (for context we ordered 1 breakfast bagel, one original turkey sandwich bagel, and one bagel with cream cheese - 3 total). I understand that they were busy and had been swamped all day, but an overall 1 hour wait for bagel sandwiches seems insane to me. Even then, I could have dealt with the wait time, had it not been for the SERIOUSLY disappointing quality of food. The bagels were barely toasted - I think the toaster just looked at the bagels - the breakfast bagel was about 1inch thick overall. Like I've never seen a thinner piece of egg and cheese. Barely buttered, bland, and dry. The cream cheese bagel was a cinnamon raisin bagel which was stale. It was again barely toasted yet it was so hard/crunchy. For anyone who is familiar with Tim Hortons, I swear this was worse than that. And honestly we have loved this place in the past, so it was a real disappointment. The only good things were the friendly staff and it is a nice...
Read moreI had the pleasure of discovering a delightful bagel shop in Canmore that completely exceeded my expectations. This gem of a bakery is a must-visit for bagel enthusiasts and food lovers alike!
The bagels at this establishment are simply outstanding—fresh, chewy, and packed with flavor. They offer a wide variety of toppings and spreads to complement their excellent bagels, ensuring there's something for everyone. Whether you prefer a classic cream cheese schmear or a more adventurous sandwich combination, you won't be disappointed.
What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and make sure every customer had a fantastic experience.
The atmosphere of the shop is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a morning bite or a midday snack. It's evident that this bagel shop takes pride in delivering quality products and excellent customer service.

Read moreI recently visited the Rocky Mountain Bagel Company in Canmore, and it was an overall delightful experience. This cozy, locally-owned café is the perfect spot to start your day in the Rockies. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bagels, which immediately sets the tone for a great meal.
The bagels here are top-notch—crisp on the outside with a perfectly chewy interior. I enjoyed the smoked salmon bagel, which was generously portioned with fresh toppings and full of flavor.
However, the coffee was somewhat disappointing. I ordered an iced oat latte, and it felt like it wasn't crafted with much care. The flavor was underwhelming and didn't quite meet the standard set by the food. If you're a coffee enthusiast, this might not be the highlight of your visit.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with friendly staff who clearly care about their bagels and customer experience. While the coffee could use some improvement, the overall experience makes Rocky Mountain Bagel Company worth a visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it’s a great spot for a delicious bagel and a taste of...
