This hotel certainly has some of the most inexperienced workers I've ever came across. I booked 2 rooms for myself and family. I booked my room facing the road as I had read bad reviews about the train noise in the rooms facing the railway. The 2nd room, for my mom, was facing the other way as she was on a budget. We requested the rooms to be near each other and also an early check-in at 2pm, and it was nice that they were able to honour the requests, however we were checked-in in in two rooms facing the railway. I went down and requested MY room to be changed accordingly (and I wouldn't mind waiting). The lady took a bit and without communicating she changed both rooms to the road side; my mom didn't want to move as she was already settled and she was scared they were going to charge her for that, so she went down and got her room moved back (There was no need to move her as the rooms were in front of each other). So far so good. We go to check the pool out (which was the only reason we booked this hotel) and the pool was closed. I asked the Front Desk about it and she said it should be closed just for a day, but she wasn't sure. At night they post a sign saying the pool was going to open at 10am. We go to sleep and the beds were super uncomfortable with gigantic holes (but whatever, we are only there for 2 nights). Next morning at around 8:30-9 there was some people being very loud in front of our door and we thought it was our neighbours partying, but it was just housekeeping (it didn't bother us as we were already awake, but I see how that could've been a big deal for some people). My toddler patiently awaits till 10 to go swimming; we called the FD at 9:55 to confirm the pool was opening and the lady says the pool will be open at 10. We go down shortly after and the pool is closed with a sign saying it will open at noon; at this point my toddler has a meltdown and we decided to go to the hotsprings instead. We spent the day out and came back to find that our rooms weren't serviced. We called for towels and a conditioner, they bring 4 towels (out of which 3 had huge yellow and black stains) and no conditioner, but another 8 shampoos. At this point I was still considering whether I was going to write a review or not. At check out, my mom's room which was booked for $119 totalling $267 after taxes (this is March 2023) was charged at $129 or $289 after taxes. We nicely showed them our confirmation letter with the right price and the gentleman was just quiet, didn't say a word for a few minutes like we were bothering him and like we were wrong to even talk to him about it, and then he said "so I'm just refunding $13 or whatever?" ... (It was $22). Never a "sorry, I'll fix our error". Anyways. It is a nice please to stay if you are on a tight budget, but overall I'd pay a little more to avoid so many hiccups. *FYI: My mom, my brother and his wife who stayed on the railway side says they were not able to hear the train at all. While awake they noticed a minor sound which at first they thought was the fridge. But nothing while sleeping. We stayed on...

The place: Very clean, our room was airy, extremely comfortable beds (wow!). However corridors have a musky smell and feel stuffy to breathe.
The food: They have a breakfast station; very generous food at a greatly discounted fee for their guests. The make really good, tasty breakfast. They serve quite a wide range in a buffet style. The hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants, a 1 minute walk gets you to some restaurants.
The pool: Very small for a hotel this size, but I didn't care about it. The hot-tub is small too but it's quite nice, we relaxed in there. There's also a gym room, and a play room with some arcade, and more games for free!
CONS We stayed for 2 nights with no housekeeping nor refilling of stuff in the room.
Now, I could have easily given this hotel a 5 star, however I gave a 3 star because my experience here was deeply violated by the halloween items. The walls were smeared with halloween, hovering over even the coffee station. (it was difficult to get some coffee there, but they had good coffee in the room. While this is a "tradition" and done around the nation, it makes a place such as this hotel non-inclusive. Not everyone honours halloween, in fact my soul is violated by these items especially where I pay for services. Diversity and inclusion must cover the spirituality and faith of human beings. We would have been honoured if the hotel was considered a public service, taking into consideration people's spiritual beliefs, just like on other months. This to me matters more than the friendliness of the people or the comfort of beds. As humans, we are spiritual beings after all!
Other service providers are mandated to keep their faith and beliefs to themselves when they serve others, but here I experienced an imposition of the hotel's beliefs and a lack of consideration for it's paying customer's beliefs. It would have been better if they keep these items in their personal spaces if it really is that important to them, not everyone is okay around these evil looking items. Every thing carries a spirit behind it, even items, and it definitely was better for us to stay inside the room or outside the hotel.
Otherwise, this would have been a wonderful stay because apart from the representation of darkness, it is a nice hotel. I would recommend, but if you are a follower of Jesus Christ in spirit, consider coming during other months but October. And I would come here again, just not in October.
Also, maybe the hotel could give a heads-up upon booking or somewhere on the booking site that halloween is honoured here so people can make an informed choice. You can't withdraw the booking once here without losing the one...
Read moreNever ever let go of that front staff amazing woman you have. Treat her well! She’s one of your bestest asset, amongst the other great staff you have. No lie. I apologize i’m bad with names, i think she’s Latina.
Service is amazing! The place is decent, it has all the basics you need but having great service consistently during your stay just makes everything feel like a 5 star hotel.
What actual service you ask?
Booked straight from their website, needed to call front desk to request for early check in. Didn’t get a hold right away, sent them a facebook message, whoever was managing your page, keep that type of energy, polite, direct & just over all pleasant. I was able to speak to frontdesk, same energy, no big promises, just that fair “we can certainly try however cannot promise.” didn’t sound like you're asking for too much.
Requested for an early checkin at a specific time, got it an hour early. Wowzers! The front staff, who’s name I forgot but was amazing, was super welcoming, warm, and over all authentic. She even told us about a great dog park nearby.
The hotel policy itself on pets, didn’t feel like were such burden & hassle for bringing our 4 legged child and will be punished heavily, if things happen. We didn’t get the most rundown & dirty room for bringing a dog like most place would based in our experience. Hardwood/laminate floors are awesome! Feedback, charge $20 instead of $15 and provide a dog bed, would really make a huge impact. Most places charge more, provide a dog bed but look at you as a hassle. We’d happily spend our money at your facility even more.
The housekeeping crew, very kind and sweet gals. Ran into them a few times in the halls, most hotels we stayed at, housekeeping can’t even look at you or prefer not to be bothered.
Gentleman cleaning the lobby & elevators, very warm and polite too. Ladies at the breakfast area, again welcoming, pleasant and warm.
Great job on having amazing staff who are hardworking and good human beings. I hope you continue treating them well. They made our stay memorable because it’s rare to find that these...
