JK Bakery Cafe (downtown) — Restaurant in Alberta

The customer service in this establishment is absolutely unbelievable. I’m astonished at the way we were treated by the blonde lady at the counter. When we asked to warm up our food she rolled her eyes and sighed so loud and proceeded to purposely only warm up one of our items. The lady behind us then asked her if she knew the number for a taxi and she said blatantly no. Then Me and my mother were trying to look up the number for the taxi ourselves and she told us we had to wait outside because they’re “closing soon” except it’s 4pm and their hours are clearly posted they’re open until 5. When we took 1.5 minutes to look up the taxi number she was seen shaking her head and throwing her hands in the air in clear frustration. I’m appalled and will not be coming back here and telling everyone I know never to come to this bakery as the customer service is flat out terrible. Not...

Prices go up and the sandwiches keep getting soggier. Been coming here for a few years now. I’ve always enjoyed the build your own sandwiches, because the price used to be a better option than build your own subway sandwich. However, if you don’t get your sandwich on the ciabatta bun (which is frequently sold out) your sandwich will be soggy. This makes it less than ideal as this used to be my go to place to pick up a sand-which for a hike. If you chose to take it on a hike, it will be soggy before you get to the trailhead. The only way to not have a soggy sandwich is to put on no condiments and no pickled veg (all the good stuff).
