Umi Sushi Express — Restaurant in Alberta

4. 21. Before our trips, my boyfriend and I went to Crossiron Mill. We had a lunch at the Mall. I have ordered Umi Sushi Express for myself. Umi Sushi Express is a quick service restaurant in the Crossiron Mill Food Court. It has many franchises in Calgary. There are over 30 locations across Canada. It offers fresh and healthy Japanese cuisine, such as Rice Boxes, Noodles, and Bubble Teas, for those in a hurry and on the go. Through continuous improvement (kaizen) and evolution, Umi aims to offer delicious and creative cuisine that is fresh, healthy, made with care, and integrity of ingredients. I ordered beef noodles for lunch, which was only $9.99, was a great deal. My noodles came out the kitchen very fast. It was well cooked and fresh with a large portion. There were lots of beef on top of noodle soup, which was a great deal. The soup was very tasty and delicious. I love it so much....

I usually like Umi Sushi since the franchise is consistently good quality. This place is not only disappointing but disgusting too. The meat and tempura were pretty cooked and warmed to order. The person in front of me ordered the same thing as me, but for some reason the cook added peppers to mine. The vegetables were thrown on and then scooped into my dish half cooked. Food was alright. But service was baaaad! The couple in front of us and the guy behind us already got their orders so my parents and I were wondering if the cook was informed about our order. So, I followed up our order saying, “Excuse me, I just wanna follow up my order, 2 Bento Bs.” They replied in a very noticeable rude way, “Yeah we’re making it.” So we just let it and waited for our food. We then saw the cook helped the other lady with the garbage. Without washing his hands, he grabbed a tong to pick our tempura up. So yeah, it was not sushi...
