Thai Express Restaurant Rocky View — Restaurant in Alberta

I love Thai express but this location disappoints. Staff were rude from taking your order to handing your food. It’s so sad that it’s our go to restaurant whenever we’re at the mall. But with the attitude they’re giving I don’t think I still want to come back. I asked for additional chillies on the side, instead they just rolled their eyes on me and just gave me super little chillies you couldn’t even taste it. Fried rice tastes burnt food.

Update on my experience again… Very poor customer service. I wonder how the cashier works all day rolling her eyes at customers! So today my husband was craving for pad thai and I decided to give it a chance. It was still the same. My husband asked for chillies on the side and the cashier said they're not allowed to give it on the side so we said just mix it in our food then. We'd be happy to pay for extra chillies to be honest. We head home and ate our food but there's no spice in our food-- at all!! Just regular tasting pad thai. I've lost my appetite. The cook said he added chillies in it but the taste is blant! My fried rice is burnt again, as usual. I swear I wouldn’t go back at this...

I've been to quite a few Thai express and this one was by far the worst. Horrible customer service. I got a chicken pad thai and diet Pepsi. They automatically punched in a bottle of Pepsi, I asked to get a fountain pop instead, I got a cup filled just over 3/4, had to ask the cashier to fill it up some more, she looked annoyed and added maybe 2cm of pop. The cashier also did not ask how spice I wanted my meal, every other TE I've been to did this. The cooks also looked annoyed when I asked for chop sticks and napkins, I didn't realize they now expect you to bring your own cutlery. The food itself was overly sweet, no spice, the pad thai sauce was just horrible, taste more like ketchup than pad thai sauce. The portion was also smaller than what I've seen at the other locations. Should have gone with subway. But hey if you like something that tastes like ketchup with mama...

I've tried this location several times and I love the food. I also work in the hospitality industry and have to admit this is my very first complaint I've ever written on line as I get things can happen. I tried to move past the eye rolling I got a few months back when I ordered their shrimp rolls. I also have no problem tipping as again I work in the industry but when you assume my change is your to keep and don't even take it out if your till. You get no tip. To top it off I sat down to eat and one by one all your staff looked at me as if I had done something wrong. I will never eat at this location again. Unfortunate because this was my favourite place to eat at at the mall. The serves was what ruined this for me...
