I recently visited New York Fries with high expectations, as I had heard quite a bit about their reputation for quality chips and indulgent toppings. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but satisfying, and I left genuinely disappointed with both the product and the overall value for money.
To begin with, the chips themselves were noticeably overcooked. Instead of being crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, as one would hope from a proper portion of fries, they were hard, dry, and quite honestly unpleasant to eat. Some were so dark and brittle that they bordered on burnt. I understand that consistency can vary slightly with freshly cooked items, but this went well beyond what one might reasonably consider acceptable.
What added to the disappointment was the stingy amount of sauce provided. I had specifically ordered one of their loaded fries options, expecting a decent layer of sauce to complement the chips and create that rich, flavourful experience they so often advertise. Instead, there was barely a drizzle — a meagre spoonful at best — which left most of the portion tasting bland and dry. I even double-checked to make sure there hadn't been a mistake with the order, but sadly, this appeared to be the standard.
Considering the price point, which is not exactly budget-friendly for what is essentially a portion of chips with toppings, I was especially let down. The portion size was adequate, but without proper seasoning, adequate cooking, or enough sauce to bring the dish together, it simply wasn't worth it.
Overall, it was a frustrating experience. I had hoped for something warm, indulgent, and comforting, and instead received something that felt hastily thrown together and lacking in care. I don’t know whether this was a one-off issue or a sign of declining standards, but it certainly did not reflect the quality or value I had anticipated. I very much doubt I will be returning any time soon, which is a shame, as I had looked forward to trying them for...
Read moreI was here at the New York fries in cross iron mills, I ordered 1 large veggie fries with extra curds. When they gave me the fries the quantity of the curds was very less. I asked this guy that was working there to put some more curds because there was barely any on my fries. He rudely put one scoop of curds on the fries and slammed the plate like you would throw garbage. When I turned around I heard them mimicking me right away, they mocked me asking for extra curds in a very rude tone. I went to them right back and confronted them while they began to laugh and ignore me. I asked his name and he kept on saying why and mumbled some things in his mouth. Then I asked to call the manager, when she came she just said thank you for your concern did not apologize and Instead of doing anything to help me she asked me if I paid for the extra curds rather than telling her workers that why they mimicked me. These types of things really upset me, I really love New York fries but this locations staff is literally the worst. Like teach your employees on how to talk properly with customers! And not mimic them. They should...
Read moreI recently visited New York Fries, a fast food restaurant renowned for its delicious fries and casual dining experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere filled with the enticing aroma of freshly prepared potatoes. The menu offered a variety of fry options, from classic sea salt to gourmet toppings like cheese and chili. I opted for the signature loaded fries, topped with melted cheese and crispy bacon. Each bite was a perfect blend of crispy texture and rich flavor, making it hard to resist. However, I found the portion size a bit on the smaller side for the price, leaving me wanting just a bit more. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring my order was prepared quickly. The seating area was clean, though it filled up fast during lunch hours, creating a lively but somewhat noisy environment. Overall, my experience at New York Fries was enjoyable, thanks to the quality of the food and the upbeat ambiance, and I left with a craving for more of their...
