Should have stayed home for dinner today! What an incredible frustrating, and somewhat insulting dining experience.
Upon arriving we were seated, and put in some water orders. We asked for a high chair for our 1 year old, and one was promptly brought to us. It was broken though, so we asked for another. This one was also broken, so we asked for another, we were told that they were all broken, so just deal with it. So, we had to hold our 1 year old which is not a fun thing to do in a dining setting.
We ordered some appetizers, and when they arrived they only brought us a single plate. We asked for two more plates to eat with, and they said sorry no other plates are washed right now, ill bring some when they're washed. 🤣🤣! I can't make this stuff up! SO, 5 minutes goes by, food getting cold, no plates. So we asked for a manager. A female manager comes over and we said, we have two issues with the service this evening. Number 1, you have no high chairs that are not broken, number 2, you have no plates.
The manager was instantly defensive saying " That's a lie! We have plates and we have non-broken high chairs.". We replied, this is what YOUR staff has told us why are you being rude to us?... I seriously can't make this stuff up. The manager very rudely brought us a working high chair and two plates. No apologies, no I'm sorry, no nothing. Extremely rude.
Next, our Entrées arrived as soon as we got our plates to eat our appetizers! So we pushed those dishes aside. We are about 35 minutes into our visit, and we have had 1 visit from our server, thats it. We had to keep asking other servers or managers to help us if we needed anything. Never once were are drinker checked on, nor how our food was. My son asked for an apple juice, 10 minutes later and his meal completed , no apple juice.
Just, extremely rude and uncomfortable experience. When I took my son to the washroom it was a mess! Looks like it has not been cleaned in week! Dirty hand towels all over the ground. Disgusting.
Upon leaving the washroom, I spotted our non-existent serves chatting up some colleagues. I called her over and asked her to bring my sons ice cream treat over. She agreed... 10 minutes later. No joke... she didn't bring the $^#%# ice cream! I seriously can't make this up!
We pulled another manager aside, (not the extremely rude female manager), and the gentlemen apologized, and agreed the service is inexcusable, and offered to send us home with a few desert. We thanked him and agreed.
After giving us our treat so we could leave, the female manager noticed this and came over to the male manager and started yelling at him publicly for giving us the free treat!!! I cannot make this sh%$ up! It was insane!!
Hands done, we will never return, the staff is clearly very un-happy, and whoever the evil female manager is, she needs to go to anger management classes, and never manage in any setting ever again.
Do not eat here....

I just wanted to share a horrible experience that we had at the Cross Iron location on August 3rd 2024. It was a nice day so we sat on the patio in the back of the store. We were the only ones on the patio and the staff seen us walk by them and onto the patio. It took them close to 20 minutes for the staff to come and see us to offer drinks. I ordered a beer which came in a dirty warm glass and the beer was probably at room temp or maybe even warmer than that, I drank a mouth full and left the rest.... gross on a hot day. Next we ordered 2 steak sandwiches 1 was rare and 1 was med rare, they both came well done and I mean well done. The steak was wafer thin with lots of gristle and fat on it. The manager was there and we told him our dis-satisfied we were and he just walked away and went out and had a smoke just outside of the patio area. He did offer to remake the steak but we decided to just pass as didn't think it would improve and didn't want to waste anymore food. My wife ordered a salad, which was good, but honestly how can you screw up a salad so that was good. My Grandson ordered a pepperoni pizza which came out extremely greasy and once again luke warm, we honestly thought it was a left over from earlier in the day. When asked how everything tasted? we said it was not good, but no one seemed to care and the bill came with everything on the bill with no discount or the items that were not eaten removed. The manager was still outside the patio smoking in plain sight which seemed inappropriate but it is what it is I guess. I would highly recommend that if your looking for a good patio to eat at on a nice day with good food and decent service you go somewhere else because this was one of the worst places in a long time that we have visited.
So an update on this place since I wrote this review I was contacted by the "owner" within a couple of hours with a response on here. was asked if I would like to be contacted to talk further and said sure for the enhancement of future customers. It has been a couple of weeks and ummmmm shockingly I have yet to be contacted. I guess they really don't give a $%!#. Oh well I tried... good luck everyone if you go to the crossiron mills location......
Read moreMy friend and I decided to grab a bite to eat here prior to going to a movie at the CrossIron Cineplex. We had chosen to sit in the lounge and we proceeded to place our order with a very nice waiter. However that was the last we saw of him, the server brought our food to the table and you could clearly tell she did not like her job. She dropped the food off and asked “do you need anything else” in the very rude manner with clear disinterest. She proceeded to go to the bar area where she was standing around and clearly talking to her friend or boyfriend (who did not seem to order anything the entire evening). At the end of our meal, she brought the credit card machine to our table and asked for my ID. This is the first time I have ever been asked for ID when using my MasterCard, it could not possibly be because she wanted to ensure my age was over 18 (as we were sitting in the lounge without being ID'd the entire time) and it could not have been to ensure my signature on the card was correct (yes, my MasterCard was signed). I was confused as to why she wanted to see my ID, I understand the whole detecting and preventing credit card fraud however, my MasterCard is protected by my pin that I entered when paying for my meal. I highly doubt that the server asking for my ID and questioning what type of MasterCard I was using is part of company policy, as I have been to this particular Boston Pizza before and have never had that happen to me. I had the right to refuse showing my ID to not only protect my own privacy rights as I felt mistreated by this server, but more importantly because my MasterCard was signed and protected by my pin code. Reflecting on this experience and encounter with this incompetent waitress, I should have refused to give ID without a valid reason but at the time I unfortunately provided it to her. Overall I felt that this server ruined the experience at this specific restaurant. I would highly recommend that the restaurant manager provide some additional training to this employee, or at least have a discussion with her on how show up with a fake smile and show some...
