Took my mom here for lunch today for a celebration ... and it wasn't great. Our server was polite at first, but she took forever to refill drinks. We both ordered the chicken lettuce wraps .. they were okay, but not enough lettuce and no offer to bring more. (We got 5 slices of iceberg lettuce each, little 1/4 pieces)
We decided to share desert, and she recommended the carrot cake, boasting that it was a huge slice and her favorite - so we were excited to try it!
It came out, and it was TINY, definitely not huge or even a shareable size by any means. We picked away at it and determined it was definitely stale as the cake was very hard and didn't taste vreat. The icing was extremely hard too. We got about 3/4 way thru and had to stop eating it because it was honestly so awful. She stopped by and asked how it was and we told her it is rock hard and the last few bites were inedible as it was hard as a rock.
Her response was "well what do you expect me to do?" My mom and I didn't know what to say... So my mom said, well a replacement slice would be appropriate. The waitress said " you ate half of this one so I can't do that" ... We argued that it was rock hard and obviously stale, showing her if you hit it with a fork it was loud. She said "ya well it's a cake what do you want me to do"
Like.. what do you mean? Take it off the bill or replace it.
She took the cake away and then someone else returned with our bill. She didn't even have the gull to come back to us and give us the bill or take payment. We were charged $11 for that tiny slice of stale carrot cake .. that we didn't finish.
Disappointing. We are going to avoid milestones...
Read moreMy sister and I (both minors) went to the mall to spend a day out of the house over our summer break and our mom gave us her card to get food and drinks. She allowed us to also dine in at one of the restaurants at the mall and to tip 15-18% if the service was good. We were sat at a table in there with one of the tables being wobbly and my sister and I couldn’t both sit on the booth side of the table. After we ordered it took roughly 5 minutes for our drinks to arrive and after 20 minutes of waiting, another group was sat next to us (two adults and one kid). After us waiting for 40 minutes the group next to us was served and we still had not been served. Our waitress never told us what happened and why it was taking so long for our meals. After 50 minutes of waiting for our food it finally arrived, my sister tried to ask why our food took a while but the server left before she could even ask. By the time we were done the table next to us was also finished their main course too(mind you we had the same server) and the server asked the other table if they wanted dessert but never offered me and my sister dessert, just the bill. Throughout that time we had been messaging our mom asking how much we should tip because this was not normally how we had been treated when we dined in with our parents. My mom tried to phone the restaurant to ask about why that had happened but after each time it auto answered and played hold music and the call ended after 1:36. We ended up leaving a 5% tip. Hope you can treat your customers equally no matter if there is a minor paying or an...
Read moreOnly ended up here because next door was already closed for the night but it was a good reminder why I stopped going and why I will never step foot in there again. Horrible service. Sat at the patio and was promptly told we close at 9 when the sign at door said 10. Ordered a drink because food had to be rung up right away and it was "closing". I said we will have drinks (plural). After bringing one drink never came back to ask if I'd like another or the bill or anything. All this while the table to my left proceeded to order food after they had paid their bill already. Table right behind was being served as well. He visited both tables multiple times in that 45 or so minutes to ask them if they'd like anything else and to take the bill to them and place their FOOD orders. We were ignored the entire time. It's obvious why as there was only one difference between us and literally everyone else on the patio last night. Discrimination. Teach your servers to treat everyone the same. He didn't even bring over the bill I went up to pay and he had already printed it assuming I wasn't going to order anything else when I had said I'm having drinks not a drink from the get go. Will be telling everyone of color that I know to...
