Big Smoke Burger — Restaurant in Alberta

Thought we would try a new place today but wish we hadn’t. For starters combo price is $2.50 says it’s .90-$1 for sweet potatoe fries. On the receipt my wives combo was 2.50 and my sweet potatoe combo was $5.40 extra?

Not the cheapest place and up charge for sweet potatoe fries you would think they would make them fresh. Watched the employee take the fries that were laying in basket for the 10 mins we were in line dunk them back in the fryer to heat them up nice.

Then my burger was extremely pink not just slightly but quite pink throughout the burger.

We usually go to south street but thought we would try some where else definitely will not return. My wives food was fine but she did not enjoy it, she can be picky sometimes. She also requested no lettuce, tomato and onions the lady said here your burger without the above ingredients after putting them all on nice..

My burger and fries were good but with everything mentioned above i was pretty unsatisfied with how the food was not cooked properly or fresh..

whenever I go to Crossiron (which is a rare occasion), I usually stop by BSB for their food. yesterday, I got a Blues Burger and Montréal Poutine.

their Blues Burger tasted absolutely delicious, although I thought the portion size was somewhat small for the price. I was wondering if that was just a me thing, but the review below me is making me revise tbat thought.

the Montréal Poutine was a disappointment. great combination of ingredients, but the fries weren't really crispy, which made the entire dish feel somewhat lifeless. the box was also SWIMMING in gravy. it made me kind of sad as someone who loves fries and eats them a lot.

I was told after ordering that it would take five minutes to be delivered. while I appreciate the fast service, I would definitely have waited longer to have better quality fries. perhaps this is the anthesis to BSB being a "fast food" joint, but in my opinion this is an example of sacrificing some quality as a result of prioritizing speed. and that's a shame.

I will continue to return for burgers, but...

This place is much to pricey for the quality & quantity of food you receive. Paid $52 for 2 combos & one side burger. The fries are very small portion (needs to be larger). The quality of the food & the quantity in which it's made needs a lot of provements. We were still hungry after spending that much on food, barely could enjoy the food as it completely just fell apart in your hands as your trying to eat. It was like trying to hold a slippery soap bar with your wet hands... Trying to bite into it... Falls out ur hands.

Toppings were falling out all around, sauce included. Was way too messy & difficult to hold. This is supposed to be handheld food that is easy clean up, instead it was a full on mess everywhere. Ruined the experience & actually made us upset while trying to eat. We gave up half way into them & had to get knife & forks.... To eat a burger🤯

Not good quality of food or experience for the cost....
