It's so tough to find a good pizza! These days chain operations with franchisees are mostly a hit or a miss. We recently walked into the Toppers' Aurora location with no high expectations. A weekday, snowy evening you really shouldn't expect very good customer service. But I was wrong. Young and courteous staff! I told them it was my first time and that I am a vegetarian. The menu only had two choices for me but the customized it though not allowed.... but what a way to impress a new customer. The young fellow took great pride as he explained the special dough and freshness of the toppings. Last night I order again - this time online... what an easy and quick customized process. I had selected a later time for pick up. When i arrived, I was not disappointed. Warm greeting! I am a pizza traditionalist with pesto. Great thin crust. Perfect consistency between the sauce, cheese and toppings. Pesto sauce was spot on. They even have a loyalty program. Strongly...

I really wanted to like this pizza. My son was super excited as his school orders from a Toppers and he wanted me to try it. Upon entering the restaurant I was very disappointed with the cleanliness. The place just felt downright dirty. The door which states ‘employees only’ looks like it has never been wiped down and is covered in filth. The cashier was very nice and I was hopeful that despite being turned off the location that the pizza would taste delicious. Sadly it did not, The pizza barely had any cheese and you could see areas of just sauce all over the pizza. The meatballs on one of the Pizza were all dried out. Both of the pizzas were supposed to have a garlic butter crust, and only one of them dead. I will not be getting pizza from this...

For the same price range, the quality of the pizzas here are way better than what you would get from many of the bigger names of pizza chains out there. With those pizza chains, you tend to feel overwhelmed or a particular greasy kind of sensation after eating but not at Topper’s Pizza.

Even the strawberry cinnamon bites were fresh to order and was very much worth for the price paid.
