I wish I could put 0 stars. The food was meh, but that wasn't my issue. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long while. I called in a takeout order and was told it'd be 20 minutes. No problem. When we arrived I was ignored for 10 minutes and then given a machine for the amount without seeing the bill. Again whatever, I paid. Then I was ignored for a further 20 minutes with no information about the state of my food. An hour after my original order placement I was given a bag and a "bad news we can't find this thing you ordered do you want something else?" This was what bothered me. I was ignored upon arriving and after paying and at no point told that my food was taking longer or that items weren't available. Then after an hour of waiting while being handed my order I was told parts of it weren't available. So if I wanted an alternative item I would have to wait even longer. To cap it all off when I walked out and checked the order it was still missing items. So it was not checked prior to handing it to me. I went back in to get the remaining items, and still felt like I was a bother (a theme throughout the experience), but all of this has occurred during covid. I am not eating at restaurants because I am uncomfortable doing so, but I am still trying to support local where I can with takeout. As a result of being ignored and not informed of my food timelines I was standing inside the restaurant for 40 minutes and the wait staff was not wearing masks. While being cashed out and refunded their mask was sitting under their chin. When pouring other customers beer it was under their chin and lifted only to deliver food. Covid isn't selective. Read moreBeware!! Don’t go here!! When I paid there was as a problem with their internet connection on the debit machine and the waitress said that it didn’t go through and so I paid again. I checked my bank statement and they billed me twice!! I just called and a rude employee who said that she is the manager became instantly very snarky, addressed me in a condescending tone and referred to me as “sweetheart”. I replied that I’m not her sweetheart and she hung up and wouldn’t take the call to rectify the situation. I’m in Toronto and will have to drive all the way to Barrie to deal with this. People who lack people skills and don’t like people, are not doing the public any favour by working in the hospitality industry!🙄 After reading all of the reviews about people being double charged and overcharged, I’m convinced that some employees are scamming the public. Very 'lackluster' experiences(all 4 times). Very judgemental owners/'main managers' but excellent staff.
Every time I've been in there it's been overcrowded and I don't even have time to finish my beer before I'm asked to leave because they need 'more room for others to come in', when clearly I had just got there and others were allowed to stay for much longer.
Especially, when in large groups. I've seen them kick out old couples for asking to change the music and whenever I've got involved to ask why they had to leave over groups of teenagers, I have been threatened to get kicked out aswell(by the owners/'main managers'.
I was polite every time but unfortunately, have had multiple bad experiences.
I apologise for the bad review but I'm am just being honest, as a local and as a long time resident of Barrie.
